Total animal lover. Had dogs and cats my entire adult life. Just retired from a non-profit animal shelter where I learned a great deal about dogs - I never get tired of them. There's nothing in the world that will give me more pleasure than dogs. I have fostered many dogs, currently have a 6 year old Bassett hound - Shirley Bassett, who loves anything with a heartbeat - almost as much as she loves food. Also have. 17 year cat who doesn't care if I have strange dogs in the house. Secure fenced yard, doggie door, great neighbors, safe harbor. Love silly, slurpy kisses. The property here is gated and my yard within is fully fenced. Any dog coming to me becomes temporarily mine, cared for as such.
