Pet care experience
I have a licence awarded by Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Council to provide dog boarding and day care. No. 22/01087/AA_NEW. (Leanne Poyner) I've always had dogs and have now decided to make it into a full-time job. After 25 years working in education and finishing as a Deputy Principal, it was time to turn my love of dogs into my new career. I have looked after many different types of dogs, all ages and sizes, in my home or in homes of friends and family. As a PE teacher for 10 years, I still love to keep fit, so walks along the beach with the dogs is my favourite thing to do.

What can I say? I'm so happy we found Leanne and Skye to take care of our dog when we are away...there is literally no worry or stress whatsoever when we leave our boy with her. Skye is the most calm gentle giant and having an erratic spaniel...I was a little concerned..I needn't have worried...they made me feel like he truly was going to a home from home!. If there was a 6 star rating I'd be giving it...he cant wait to come back !!! Thank you Leanne xx
We have used Leanne a few times to look after our crew of 5 , they all have different needs and not the easiest bunch ,but Leanne seems to be able to adapt to them and their individual needs and personalities. She is very calm and they are always excited to see her. , their happiness and wellbeing is very important to me as they are my little family , wouldn't take them anywhere else as I know they are well looked after and happy
Leanne looked after our little Flora for 3 weeks in the summer. Flora had the most amazing time ! Leanne kept us updated everyday about how Flora was, where she had been on walks and how she was sleeping etc. I received videos and pictures of how she was getting on and she loved being in the company of Skye and Ava !!.It was the first time l had plucked up the courage to leave Flora and l certainly wouldn't hesitate to use leanne again. In fact she is already booked in for Jan 23. I would not hesitate to recommend Skye s Doggie Day Care.
Oscar had a lovely time at Skye's Doggie Day Care.Such a lovely home with a huge garden! It was such a relief to find Leanne- she kept me updated about how he was throughout his visit. Couldn't have asked for more!

I have a large fenced and brick wall garden which is very secure. Skye and Ava are the adorable resident dogs. Dogs have access to the secure garden all day. Boarding dogs have their own room to sleep in and there is adequate space if during the day they need some quiet time away from other dogs. When walking away from the home dogs are always kept on the lead, unless the dogs is known to me and with owner's permission wants them to be off the lead e.g on the beach. I will only let a dog off the lead if I have excellent knowledge of the dog and am confident to do so, even with the owners permission.

I usually like to meet dogs in advance if possible and have a short walk with them and the owner. During this time I will find out about things such as feeding routine, bedtime, key words the dog know, any do’s and don’ts etc.
A typical day
We will usually go for two walks a day, but will of course vary this depending on the dog and owners request eg shorter walk for older dog. We usually go go to the beach, woods and around the farm lands. I also have a large garden that they have full access to.

Dog care is now my full-time job, seven days a week, rain or shine! As mentioned I am fully licenced by Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Council to provide dog boarding and day care.
