Pet care experience
My first job was at a vet clinic where I walked all the dogs in the kennel. I then went on to be a vet assistant for about 4 years! We are young family of 4 with one dog of our own. We recently lost our senior lab and are looking for a second dog to spend time with us in our free time! We have been rover sitters on and off over the years and since we are at home all day, love animals and have a home that is dog friendly, we have decided to open up our care again. If your dog is looking for an active young family while you are traveling or you need a day visit, we would love to meet you and see if we are the right fit for you!

We have a fenced yard and are comfortable with walks as we do spend a lot of time outside. We always use leashes and are very aware of our surroundings when walking. We care for our pets like they are humans and would do the same to others pets.

I have a Vet Assistant background so I will be sure to ask what's most comfortable for your dog. Previously, we have had a Silver Lab, an alaskan malamute who we had to unfornately lay to rest. We have our current dog, Oki and we also have a cat, Elmer who is very friendly to dogs. We will be sure to ask all the questions so your dog feels comfortable in our space and you feel comfortable with them being in our care.
A typical day
We have a 3 year old dog of our own, so if your dog likes to play, they will love being in our home. We also have small children so your dog would need to be OK with kids. Our kids are very kind and loving to all animals and we do not let our kids approach any dogs without first asking if it is ok and then putting their hand out to be sure they say "hello".

I work from home and my husband is a stay at home parent, so we have plenty of time to take care of a pet in our home!
