Pet care experience
I have cared for my family’s dogs as well as my neighbor’s for several years, I have also spent time volunteering with the pups at the Asheville Humane Society going for walks and play dates, until most recently adopting my own hound/shepherd mix, a 70lb goofball who is always ready for a play date if that’s your jam. I have experience with anyone ranging from shih tzu to great dane size and love them all! Shy, bouncing off the walls or somewhere in between, still love em all. I have fairly flexible availability, I am primarily available in the afternoon and evening hours during the week and very flexible on the weekends. If your pup loves running or just has a little extra energy to wiggle out, I will always welcome furry companions on my runs! I live walking distance to the beach and Bay Drive for long walks.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with the care Leanna provided for our dog, Lou! She was extremely warm and friendly and it is quite evident the love she has for dogs. Throughout our time away, she provided updates and photos that put us at ease and it was so great to see Lou enjoying his time too! Leanna is wonderful and we will definitely be utilizing her care services in the future.

I live in a small apartment with my 2 year old pup, Ruca, and a not so dog crazy cat, so boarding is not currently an option for me. Ruca can provide play time for your pups if you have the yard and the need for that.

Although I do prefer to do meet and greets and talk with you/meet your dogs beforehand, I mainly just like to know how your dog behaves on a leash, how they react to other dogs (for walking safety), any health or behavioral concerns, anything I should avoid leaving them alone with, etc.
A typical day
I love running and walking on the beach with my own dog, so your dogs are no different! If the beach is over stimulating we also live close to Bay Drive for a casual neighborhood outing or even Aviation Park if dog park visits are part of your routine.

I currently work at a coffee shop 5 days a week, primarily in the mornings, with schedule flexibility on weekdays and weekends depending on your pup’s needs.
