Hi! I’m Leah. I’m currently a dog mama to a cute, cuddly, chonky beagle mix and formerly a Kindergarten/early elementary school teacher so you know that responsibility and nurturing is in my nature. I also grew up with dogs in our household so taking care of dogs is nothing new to me. As a Rover user, myself, and after so many caregivers for our doggo, Blue, I wanted to offer in-home care services. I totally understand how great it is to have timely, proactive communication on how your dog’s doing so you’ll get just that. Also, my dog gets along great with others and I’d love for your dog and him to be pals. Blue was a rescue so I am sensitive and aware of separation anxiety in dogs. If your dog is like this, please rest assured that I am are patient and understanding with this condition.

Leah was fabulous from the very beginning! She recommended a meet and greet for our dogs at a local dog park which was great as it allowed time for our pups to meet each other days before the stay. She was very communicative during the whole process and sent a great amount of pictures/updates. My partner and I always got excited for the updates and pictures that came through. And let me tell you, her pictures she sends of the pups are so cute. She also did amazing at getting him out in the city and getting lots of exercise and new experiences on top of that! She even went out of her way to give him a bath when they got caught up in a rainstorm and even checked in with what shampoo could be used on him. Furthermore, she even remembered he is afraid of the blow dryer and instead made sure she gave him a good towel dry. Would 11/10 recommend!

A typical day
Depending on how your dog is, I’d adjust the day for that. We’d go for walks or a jog, to the park to play, or chill and lounge at home.

I work from home so my schedule is flexible. We live in an apartment with a small park right next door. There’s a bigger park two blocks away, as well, so we can go for walks there. If you’re comfortable with it, we can drive to a few of the dog parks close-by, too.
