Pet care experience
I am a passionate and conscientious lady looking to broaden my knowledge with animals and their behaviour/ traits. I have studied animal behaviour and care while trained in college and I am currently studying veterinary nursing online as well as a few GCSE topics to retake so I can get into vet school to be a surgeon. I’ve have lots of experience in working with animals as well as owning a variety of pets myself. I adore working with them and take a lot of pleasure in teaching them how to live with us in the world. I love how every animal is different and I am willing to adapt to the needs of your furry friend. I have also volunteered at some veterinary practises and taken part in dog training (in person and) zoom class sessions which promotes positive reinforcement for dogs. During my time in college I also learned how to do dog grooming while volunteering at a local groomers. Although I am no qualified professional, this has inspired me to buy my own grooming tools to keep up my skills, I’d be happy to give your dogs a wash and cut either during my time with your dog or with your supervision if desired. I get on well with all age groups and with all domestic species I’ve met. I enjoy meeting with and helping people and appreciate seeing their relationships with their pets. Some of my aspirations are to work with/ acquire a good insight on dogs with undesirable behavioural issues and learn how to help and manage them; I am obsessed with veterinary work and behavioural work and in the future I wish to be a qualified veterinary surgeon. I’ve also always been interested in art as a hobby in which I’ve posted some of my work on my profile. If ever you’d like me to do a portrait of your pet please feel free to get in touch!
Reviews
Leah looked after our dogs really well. She seems very genuine, kind and definitely cares about animals.
Leah came for a meet and greet with Reggie and for a walk with us first as Reggie can be quite nervous of new people. She was very friendly and great at building trust between her and Reggie. She had great communication and sent lots of photos during the day, we will book her again.
Leah is a fantastic dog sitter. She looked after Biscuit beautifully, followed all our instructions and sent us lots of beautiful photos and videos while we were out. Biscuit was really happy to see her after our meet and greet a few days before and clearly got lots of pets and attention while we were out! She was clearly very comfortable and happy with Leah and we felt comfortable and confident having Leah in our home. Thank you!
Leah is lovely and Biscuit ( and we!) warmed to her immediately at our meet and greet. Leah is obviously passionate about dogs and knows a lot about them. We will certainly be booking her to look after Biscuit.

The way I care for your pets depends on their typical everyday routine. I also consider your pets emotional state and try to adapt, learn from and help them (if needed) to my best ability. I train using the relationship I have formed between you and your pet using positive reinforcement. I also have a car so can take the dogs on unlimited adventures with the owners permission.
Information Leah S. would like to know about your pet
It’s important for me to know the breed, triggers, age and medical condition of your dog so that Im aware of their typical behaviours and needs of your pet. I also need to know how you manage the typical undesirable behaviours your dog may display on a bad day. I encourage owners to talk about their dogs personality and temperament too and feel free to share photos of your pets!
A typical day
I love to stimulate your dog mentally and physically with playing fun games with both toys, treats and other fun activities, I like to work on the knowledge I’ve learned through the years of owning and studying animals. Walking your dog for me is a pleasure and I will be tempted to take them to, rural like areas, as well as doggy parks to keep on top of their socialisation.

Currently I have nothing holding me down that prevents me from looking after your pets. As mentioned previously I am studying Veterinary nursing online which I can hop in and out of whenever is convenient. Equally my GCSE studies are also online meaning I'm able to study on the go.
