Pet care experience
Hi there, my names Leah and I’m a second year student, studying Zoology, at the University of Bristol. I’ve grown up with my own dogs and cats and have previous experience dog sitting, a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management as well as 300 hours work experience at Vets4Pets, which included caring for a wide range of animals. In addition to walking, playing, feeding and entertaining dogs, I also have experience in health checking and administering medication if it’s required. I also have experience dealing with dogs with specific needs and am happy to assist any dog no matter their requirements! I’m my opinion the dog comes first and so I’m happy to do what necessary to ensure they have a great time! Feel free to send me a message to discuss availability!

Leah is fantastic at looking after Ryder. He can at times be a handful and takes a while to warm to new people, but Leah has taken this in her stride and had quickly become Ryder's best friend. She's very reliable and goes above and beyond in caring for him- Would highly recommend.

I love dogs no matter their breed and therefore don’t have a preference. The things I’d like to know about a dog before sitting him/her would be if they have a routine, any triggers (dogs, noises etc) that could scare or cause certain behaviours (nervousness, aggression etc), certain likes and dislikes (certain toys, games etc), any conditions, symptoms or issues that your dog may suffer from and if they require any medication or special attention. This is just to ensure the welfare of your dog and also to make sure we have a fun time together.
A typical day
I’m new to Bristol and currently to exploring new and exciting locations! So far I’ve been to Avon Gorge and Clifton Downs. However, if there are any locations your dog prefers then let me know and I’ll be happy to take him/her there. If I were to stay with a dog we’d play lots of fun games such as fetch, tug of war and hide and seek with snacks (only with your permission of course) as well as enjoy lots of strokes, cuddles and scratches!
