Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Leah. I’m 26 and adore animals of all kinds! My wife and I currently have a Swedish Vallhund named Uma, and a tuxedo kitty named Willow. I am a dog lover and have worked with dogs for a long time (over 10 years!). I started out working at a boarding kennel when I was 15, and have worked consistently with dogs and cats ever since. I trained my dogs for therapy/service work and currently I am training our Uma for agility.
Reviews
Leah was GREAT! I got daily pictures and updates. Harley just loved being there and made a new best friend with Leah's dog. I highly recommend Leah. I hope Leah can watch Harly every time we need her!
Leah did so great with communicating with me and sending cute pictures!! She was so pleasant!! ❤️
Leah took fantastic care of our kitty! I really appreciated her in-depth updates & photos each day. She is a great communicator and easy to work with. Thank you Leah!
Leah was great and reliable! It was so nice knowing Nacho was in good hands while we were away from home!

Currently, I live in an apartment complex. We have a large 3 acre dog park (fenced in) on site. At the moment I am only able to take small/medium dogs due to space. The dog park has a small dog area that is separated from the big dog area so that your small dog can get some fun too! I am able to take the dogs out anytime. Our dog Uma is super friendly and loves having playmates! I do ask that all dogs be crated at night and while we are not here, and they must be potty trained. We will never leave your dog alone for more than 2-3 hours, if at all. We have a rescue cat who is fine with dogs, but all dogs must be able to get along with the kitty too! My wife and I are super active and will take the dogs to the park and in the car as much as possible if that’s something you’re comfortable with. We hate leaving dogs at home, they’re family members!

Information Leah P. would like to know about your pet
**ALL DOGS MUST BE UP TO DATE ON VACCINATIONS IF STAYING FOR BOARDING OR DAYCARE** **DOGS MUST BE CRATE TRAINED.** Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or medication ahead of time. I am able to administer any type of meds needed. I have experience with all sorts of situations including senior dogs, special needs and puppies. I’m open to any dog, so don’t hesitate to reach out! I will send photos and updates multiple times a day while your family member is with us!
A typical day
Our typical day is a long walk in the morning, and then some breakfast. My dog goes in her crate after she eats to make sure she doesn’t get an upset stomach. 30 minutes after breakfast, we go back out to potty and then inside for some playtime! The pups can play with me and eachother until dinner time. After dinner, I like to either take a long walk or take the dogs to our dog park on property if it’s nice out. It’s very large and fenced in to make sure your pupper is completely safe to run around freely. I work from home answering phone calls, so I am able to keep a close watch on the pups and be with them 24/7. The only time the dogs will be alone is when/if I go to the store or to a friends house. I am never gone for more than 3 hours.
