Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Leah — a trained veterinary technician with years of hands-on experience in both general practice and shelter medicine. I’m skilled in administering medications (oral, injectable, subcutaneous fluids), managing medical needs, and providing calm, confident care to anxious or special-needs pets. Certified in cuddles & CPR, I bring both clinical training and genuine compassion to every visit. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, overnight care, or help with their medication routine, I show up prepared — with experience, empathy, and a pocket full of treats. I specialize in senior pets, shy cats, and animals who need a little extra patience — but I care for all personalities, breeds, and behavior quirks with equal love and respect. 🐾

Reviews
Leah has been amazing — not only with how she cared for Hermes in the past before he went to doggie heaven, but also just in the way she carries herself as a fellow Rover sitter. I’ve had the chance to see firsthand how attentive, responsible, and genuinely loving she is with pets. As a fellow Roverer, I truly appreciate the effort and heart she puts into everything. She treats animals like family and brings a calm, trustworthy energy that both pets and owners pick up on right away. Leah is a gem in this community, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and kind to care for their pets. Thanks again, Leah! 🐾 – Anthony R., Rover Sitter & Pet Parent
Leah is the absolute best! She is so reliable and goes above and beyond without being asked. Understands common health issues with animals and how to care for them. She sends multiple pictures and updates as well as staying to play with them. Leah truly loves animals and it shows whenever she watches our cats! Absolutely cannot recommend Leah enough!
Leah is an incredible dog walker and truly one of the most caring people I’ve ever trusted with my pup. From the very first walk, she was attentive, patient, and clearly in tune with my dog’s needs and personality. She always provides detailed updates, photos, and little notes that show just how much she genuinely cares. Whether it’s a quick walk or a longer adventure, Leah treats every visit with the same level of enthusiasm and responsibility. My dog absolutely adores her—and honestly, so do I. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, Leah is the one. Highly, highly recommend!
Our pets absolutely adore her, and we always come home to a clean house and happy animals. It’s such a relief knowing they’re in loving, capable hands. We wouldn’t trust anyone else!

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on creating a calm, familiar environment that helps them feel safe and secure. I follow your routine closely. From feeding schedules and walk times to medication instructions and bedtime rituals. This way your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. As a veterinary technician, I’m trained to notice the small things: changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels. I’m comfortable administering medications (oral, injectable, sub-q fluids) and working with senior pets, special needs animals, or those who are a little nervous when their humans are away. I always send updates with photos, and I treat every home with respect and care.

A typical day
Morning Routine - Start the day with a potty break, breakfast, any necessary medications, and some one-on-one time to ease into the day — whether that’s a walk, some quiet company, or a bit of play. Midday Check-In - Depending on your pet’s needs, this could mean a walk, interactive play, enrichment activities, or just a calm break in the middle of the day. Real-Time Updates - I’ll send photos or video updates so you can stay connected and know your pet is in good hands. Evening Care - Dinner, medication if needed, a final outing or litter box check, and some time to wind down — whatever helps your pet feel settled for the night. Overnight Stays - If I’m staying the night, your pet will have safe company, late-night walks if needed, and a calm presence until morning.

Availability
I currently work four nights a week as an overnight veterinary technician at an animal hospital, so caring for animals is quite literally what I do all day (and night!). My schedule leaves me with plenty of daytime availability for walks, drop-ins, and even house sitting on my off-nights. Because I already live & breathe animal care, integrating pet sitting into my weekly routine feels natural and it allows me to give pets even more one-on-one attention outside the clinic. Whether your pet needs medical support, playtime, or just a little extra love while you’re away, I’m happy to help.
