Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Leah and I am a responsible and caring 24 year old with time to walk and care for pets this summer! I went to college and graduate school in New Orleans and I cared for several dogs during my time away from my own dog back home in New Jersey. I have grown up with dogs and I cannot imagine living without one! My first dog was a Goldendoodle, named Olive. My family had an amazing 12 years with her! My current dog is an Australian Labradoodle, named Mabel. She's 4 years old and she is filled with energy. My favorite part of the day is taking her for a nice long walk, despite Mabel's need to chase every bird and every squirrel in sight.

I can’t say enough great things about Leah. She was a work study student receptionist for my department at Tulane, & I liked & trusted her so much that when I had my baby- I asked her to come stay at my house to sit for my Fur Baby, Nola. Leah was absolutely great, walking Nola several times a day & making Nola feel ok in our absence. I implicitly trust Leah - she is a wonderful person, LOVES DOGS & is great at sending & responding to their needs.

I do not have a fenced in yard, however, I have several long leads that allows dogs to roam and run around the front and back yard. We have baby gates and a large crate if needed for inside the home.

I would like to know how your dog is with other dogs. I have a 4-year old labradoodle that LOVES to play with other dogs. If your dog is social and gets along well with other dogs, then that would be preferred. I also have a cat; however, she remains in hiding upstairs.
A typical day
We will go for walks around Mendham. I love taking dogs to the tennis courts to play catch and run around mid-walk. I also live close to Patriots Path, so I often walk dogs on the path. If the weather is rainy, I play inside or in the yard!

I work part time week days and have time in the morning/early afternoon and after 5pm to take care of and walk dogs. I am also around some weekends.
