I look after my roommate's pug whenever my roommate is tied up late at work. Not only does this give me an excuse to go to the dog beach by our apartment, but I also figured I could take after a couple of extra pups while I'm at it! I've dog-sitted for my neighbors growing up so I understand the need for meaningful walks...and I don't bring a dog home unless they've pooped. I also believe that its important to be patient when it comes to animals (of course not all pups are active and playful, however if they are the better!) so letting them warm up to you by understanding their boundaries (and scratching their sweet spot behind the ears) is my usual approach.
