Dog Lover & Lifelong Rescuer
Pet care experience
I’m a lifelong animal lover and rescuer. I was raised with and have always had pets, many of which have been rescues with fragile temperaments and special needs. I am experienced in bottle-feeding newborns to caring for senior pets in their last days of life and pets with special needs. Dogs, cats, turtles, fish, birds…even foxes! I’ve loved on, cared for, and nursed to health just about everything!
Reviews
Leah has grown up around dogs and cats. And owned dogs and cats. Big and small. She takes great care of her animals and mine too. At this point, I'm sure my dog loves Leah more than me. My dog is excited when Leah comes over and sad when she leaves. At least until I give her a treat.
Leah is a trusted pet sitter. She has done both dog walks and overnight pet sitting in my home for me. My pup Stanley loves her like she is his mother! She treats Stanley as if he is her own dog. She is timely and communicative when doing walks and sent a ton of photos when doing overnight sitting. You can tell she herself is a dog owner based on the questions she asks and the way loves on my Stanley.
Leah is my daughter, and I can testify to her love for animals. We have three cats now which she found abandoned as 1 - 2-day old kittens and nursed them until they were healthy enough to give to us. They are now 11 years old. She has had several dogs who were adoptees from the humane shelter, and another one she found scavenging in a garbage dump. The last one was not given any hope by the vet to live another 24 hours, but Leah took care of her for almost five years until she recently died. I cannot imagine anyone who could be more loving and compassionate to any animal under her care.
Leah is a responsible dog mom that has taken in pups off the street and rehabilitated them as well as nursed them back to health. She loves dogs of all sizes and frequently takes her own to dog parks, beaches and walking throughout the neighborhood. I am more than confident she would provide excellent services for your dog, such as belly rubs, head-and-ear scratches and walking your pup!

I will enter your home with utmost care for your space, your energy, and your pet. If you have any special restrictions or needs for your pets and/or your home, I'm happy to accommodate.
Information Leah H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has special needs or any important behavioral traits. I am happy to accommodate all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, but I like to know as much about your baby ahead of time as possible.
A typical day
I'm new to the Alpharetta area, so I look forward to adventuring and seeing new areas with your pup! Drop-In visits include: feeding, litterbox cleaning, medication administering, and water refresh as well as playing games/fetch, working on tricks, cuddles, and yard time (or a leashed potty break if no fenced yard). Total time of visit is 30 minutes. Walks include: a 30-minute walk around your neighborhood plus a water refresh, if needed. Feeding can be added if requested but may cut into the walk time.
