Leah's Waggin' Walks
Pet care experience
I am a lifelong animal lover and adept dog handler, trainer, and caregiver. I started my first dog walking business when I was a child, became a Registered Nurse as an adult, and am thrilled to be working with dogs again part-time. My care experience encompasses dogs old and young, large and small, and other animals too, from mice and fish to chickens and horses. In the past I volunteered at Nevins Farm MSPCA in Methuen, and Ironstone Farm in Andover. I currently volunteer as a companion for hospice patients. I am an active member of my community, trustworthy, patient, responsible, and can respond quickly to changing situations. I understand dog body language, and am perceptive to their needs and limits. My hours and rates are flexible. References available.
Reviews
Leah was fantastic with our pitbull, Ziggy. She is reliable and has a great way with dogs. Ziggy loved her and can't wait to see her again. We will definitely be using her services again in the future!
Leah is amazing with dogs. She can train an 80 pound pit bull to stand, turn, twirl, sit, lay down and such things and look happy doing it. She's hold herself to a high expectation in all things, she's reliable, mature, trustworthy, intuitive with animals and most of all, she just loves them. I think her dogs are happy because she understands what it takes to bond with a dog, and provide it with the kind of stability and love they crave.
Leah has always had a dog companion of her own and she is fantastic with animals. Her compassion for all living things is evident as a nurse, mother and animal lover. Your pup would be lucky to have her as their friend and temporary care giver.

Information Leah C. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know what commands are used by the dog's guardians, how the dog behaves on a leash, around other dogs/child/people/animals, any training the dog is in need of, any training the dog has had, allergies, triggers, or health issues.
A typical day
When I am walking a client's dog, I usually stay close to their home unless otherwise directed by the client. Woodsy trails are a favorite, although not always available in the vicinity of client homes. I am willing to administer medication, run, train, snuggle, and bathe my pawed clients.
