Pet care experience
Brooks and I have had Apollo, our dog, for almost 3 years. Before that, we both grew up with dogs for as long as we can remember. Being pet parents sets us apart, because we know how hard it is to leave your baby, and want to take the best possible care of them! Brooks and I are currently living separately, and Apollo lives with him most of the time. My golden retriever puppy, Ruthie, lives with me full time, so there will only be one other dog here at the time of pup’s stay.
Reviews
Leah was very accommodating when plans needed to change and kept us updated on how he was doing throughout!
Beau LOVES spending time with Miss Leah! We are so thankful for her!
Great experience! Very easy to communicate with!
Leah was SO accommodating and easy to work with. And Beau came back a happy—and somehow calmer—pup. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to get away and know Fur Baby is in great care.

In our home, the pets needs come first. We make sure to monitor their well-being and adjust accordingly. If a pup seems to need some alone time, we can provide that. If they need some more active play time that can be accommodated as well.

Information Leah & Brooks E. would like to know about your pet
It is adamant that your pup is friendly with other dogs, since we have one of our own! We’d also like to know if your pup is up to date on vaccines and flea/tick prevention. Is your pet crate trained, and what is their typical routine like? Of course, if they have any special needs or accommodations we’ll need to be aware of those as well!
A typical day
We wake up and walk the dogs first. Dogs have varying needs, some want to do their business and come back in, while others have more of a desire to roam and explore outside. Upon coming back in we separate the dogs for breakfast. Our dog is crate trained and eats meals there, and we separate other dogs either in crates or in separate rooms. This isn’t due to all dogs having food guarding issues, but pups can be unpredictable especially in a new place, so we like to play it safe! After eating, we allow the dogs to play or lounge around before going out for a second time. In the afternoon, we may take the dogs to the dog park if the weather is nice, or on a longer walk. We really let the dogs be the guide in what they want to do and follow their lead, whether they are playful energetic pups, or calm and lazy.

It can be hard for pups to be away from home, keeping them in the same routine can help this! As far as our routine, we are extremely flexible and able to work around the needs of whatever pets we have at the time!
