Excellent and nurturing pet care!
Pet care experience
I have been working with animals for 8 years now and I wouldn't trade it for anything! I've always had animals around me since childhood and have formed strong attachments to each pet I've had. I am a former manager for an elite pet care company in Raleigh where I received top notch training, education, mentoring and gained excellent experience working with pets and learning about different behaviors specific to certain breeds. I have personal and business experience with senior dogs and that have lived life right alongside their best friend, so I am happy to provide all the love for our four-legged senior pups. I also have a lot of experience with little puppies as well: I know they need extra attention, much like human children, and I am happy to help provide potty breaks, walks and lots of exercise for the sweeties! I am current with my CPR certification and first aid through the Red Cross and have experience administering different varieties of medications to pets. I can administer pills, orally, pill pockets/food, pill shooters as well as topical ointments, eyedrops and liquid medication through a syringe. I currently do NOT administer injectable medications. In addition, I am also independently insured. I love meeting new people and new furry friends and am looking forward to loving and caring for your fur babies! Feel free to stop by my Instagram page to see fun photos of just a few of the sweet animals I’ve worked with! My cancelation policy for drop ins is one day in advance. My I understand that emergencies happen and sometimes will waive the cancellation fees depending on circumstances. I always require a meet and greet prior to booking any drop ins/walks for safety purposes. Please note that I do not offer overnight care. Instagram: @leah.and.the.pups

Leah is great! She has really helped eased the mind when leaving our pet family.
This was our first time with Leah as our dog sitter and our anxious lab/pit mix did great. He was tentative at first, as usual, but warmed up to Leah quickly. Leah was on time, responsive and took great care of our pup. We will be using Leah again in the future!
Leah B. spent two days caring for our fur baby Jax. She was a consummate professional with the right touch of warmth from the meet and greet until she bid farewell to our boy. Leah provided the peace of mind and trust I was seeking from this experience, which was our first with Rover. Her communication throughout the process was top notch. And dare I say, Jax even misses her. I will certainly consider Leah B. for another sitting with him. Thank you Leah B.!
We love having Leah take care of our babies and they love her as well!!

I live on 5 acres of land, surrounded by lots of woods with zero road frontage. The yard does not have a fence, but I always accompany all pets outside. If I get the privilege to walk/stay with your animals, I will stay with them the majority of the time as I am aware that some pets have separation anxiety.
Information Leah B. would like to know about your pet
In advance, I always like to find out if any pets have allergies, medical conditions and medications that need to be taken, how to the pets do on a leash, and if they need to be fed, as well as things to avoid if the pets have allergies or medical conditions.
A typical day
When I drop in with the dog/dogs, I love to go out for walks! I love to take the dogs out and let them get a good sniffing session and good exercise as well! I also enjoy playing fetch with the dogs, tug of war, running in the yard, and my personal favorite is to get into a big snuggle pile and give the babies love!
