Is there anything better than the pure love and joy you get from a dog? If you have a better answer, I’m all ears! The best part of my day is when I come home to my little guy with his tail wagging and soft barking to let me know how much he’s missed me. I think that anticipation is what makes any one-on-one bond special. Dogs have been a part of my life since childhood and I know they will continue to enrich the rest of my life. I grew up with a feisty and fun-loving Scottish Terrier and I learned so much from him about responsibility, loyalty, and always having a tender touch. It’s easy to think of animals as our play things, but they are unique souls who rely on us to stay safe and secure, so we have to be mindful of how we behave around them and how we treat them. I currently have a dog with a major disability and he’s taught me so much about unconditional love, patience, and sacrifice. He’s a beautiful Dandie Dinmont and he is blind. He’s gone through some rough patches with his health, but I’ve been there every step of the way to make sure he got the best care. Dogs are just like humans and they deserve the same level of care and affection. My experience caring for him has helped me transition to working with other pups with disabilities and other special needs. I’ve volunteered at several animal shelters in the past, and I’m more than willing to take on new clients with dogs that need some extra TLC. I really enjoy pampering my little guy with special paw moisturizer and organic snacks, and whatever your pup needs, I can provide! I do work full-time hours, but I’m available mornings and evenings and on the weekends. I always have my phone with me, so I’ll respond quickly and am flexible enough to work with your schedule. Although my own dog has very limited physical abilities, I am very active and I love to run with dogs. It helps me stay active and active dogs have a great time. I love being outside as much as possible, so whether it’s going on long walks or finding a fun hiking trail, I’m always up for a little adventure.
