Hi, I’m LaVonne! I offer in home boarding and doggy sitting in the Birchcliff area. I have spent my entire life around animals and have actively cared for and walked/babysat all kinds of dogs since I was in my youth. I have experience fostering dogs and have no concern with breeds or age. I absolutely love being able to care for and engage with them. Walks, regular outdoor time, play time, and snuggles (if they want them) are guaranteed. NOTE : I am currently only accepting dogs who get along well with other dogs. I have dogs that board with me regularly, and there is a puppy (Burt) who spends about 50% of his time here. He is playful, submissive, and sweet as punch. In order to make sure of a safe and stress free stay for your pup, we will intro them with Burt at the Meet & Greet for boarders.

Lavonne did a great job taking care of my hyper dog. He got along great with her dog and had a play buddy for an entire week. Lavonne sent plenty of pictures and kept me updated which was great. I’d highly recommend and will definitely use her again.

An animals feeling of safety is key to them having a positive and playful experience and I prioritize that above all else. I have a large fenced in backyard that is perfect to run around in or play fetch. I have a seven year old son who loves dogs! He has spent his entire life around dogs of all sizes and ages, he is gentle and playful with animals and I have yet to meet a dog that doesn’t adore him. I cannot wait to meet your furry family members!

I like to get a good overview of a dog and think a meet and greet is very important. Information I like to know: - temperament - diet - activity level - favourite toys and activities - any training methods you have in place. Please also let me know ahead of time if your dog has any special needs or requirements, or anything additional you feel is important for me to know. With this information I can make sure to provide the environment they need.
A typical day
We will play games, explore the neighbourhood smells, get our exercise in, and of course make time for cuddles. I always make sure to learn about the pups so I know their favourite activities and can make sure they are an active part of our time together. If your pup is elderly or prefers to sleep during the day, there is perfect spots for them all over the house. I prefer to walk dogs on harnesses rather than just with a collar, especially bigger breeds or dogs that are not expert walkers, or have a strong prey drive.
