Hey pet parents! My name is Lavina Simpson and I’m the owner/operator of Starr Pet Sitting LLC based in Oak Park, MI. Starr Pet Sitting LLC is also family operated! My mother (Lavora) is my assistant at home for boarding/daycare and my father (Herbert) is my assistant for walk/drop in visits. We offer pet sitting services to the Metro Detroit area at very reasonable rates. We are insured/bonded, also cat/dog CPR certified. We specialize in going above and beyond in hopes of making all of our clients and their fur babies happy by providing the best customer service possible. We take so much pride in what we do and we are huge animal lovers! I have been doing pet care industry since 2015. I am more than grateful that I was able to create a successful business out of something I truly love doing!! I have plenty of references available if needed. We can’t wait to meet you and your pets. Thank you 😊 Pet care is what I do full time so I make sure to be available as much as possible and fulfill all of the pets needs! I take care of pets in my home as well as my clients home therefore, I make sure the environment is safe and secure tor the pets to be in at all times.

Easily managed our large heavy puller on a walk. Reacted well and without fear or uncertainty when there was an altercation at the door between our two dogs. Very pleased.
Lavina & Herbert S. took good care of both my dogs. I appreciated the daily updates regarding them both. I was a bit concerned about having so much left over but I attribute that to them being a new place and being a little timid. Overall I would book again with Lavina & Herbert S.
Lavina did a wonderful job taking care of my 5 cats! I appreciate the care she gave while I was away providing them clean bowls of dry and wet food and boxes. They tend to be skittish with new folks and she was able to snap some pics of them looking comfy and fed. This was my first time booking with her and I will be doing so again. This was Meechie and I first time with a sitter so I was a little hesitant. Lavina is definitely awesome! Her communication is great, she kept me updated the whole time I was away along with pictures. She was professional the whole time. The entire experience is a 10/10!!!! Highly recommend!!!

I would think it’s very helpful to know if the pet has any special needs, elderly, takes medication, and/or not potty trained. That way I’ll know exactly how to care for the pets properly.
A typical day
Stimulation for the pets are very important, especially if the breed of the pets are known to be very energetic so I make sure to really enjoy nature with them, playing tons of games like catch/frisbee and going for walks.
