Pet care experience
I have had pets my whole life including cats, Guinea pigs rabbits, and a dog. Recently my dog passed away leaving me with a bit of empty nest syndrome! I have been trusted since I was an early teen to walk neighbours dogs and do pop in visits. Now as an adult, I do a lot of house sitting and live in pet sitting that I’ve secured through word of mouth. I have experience pet sitting both dogs and cats - including large dogs and cats which require medication. As well as this, my dog was diabetic so I am comfortable and experienced with administering jabs and other medications.

Lauryn was absolutely amazing with our 11 week old puppy. She felt so relaxed and calm with her around and kept her entertained whilst we was out. I would highly recommend her again, definitely would have her again in a heartbeat!
Lauryn was amazing looking after my 2 dogs at my house. With constant updates and photos I could not have put my dogs in better hands ! She was brilliant with handling my hectic puppy and they enjoyed so much cuddle time. Would highly recommend!

She has experience as has always had pets at home and is always asked by friends to pet/house sit. It’s important to know how often they get walked and how long for, when and what they get fed, any medication that is needed, where they are allowed in the house, how sociable and friendly they are as this can dictate where I take them, and also what their favourite snacks and treats are!
A typical day
I like to explore new areas and go on hiking trails. If the dog(s) enjoy being social then I would love taking them to a pub garden to break the walk up and get some refreshments! My dog had bad hips as he got older but he enjoyed to swim so I would regularly take him to Emsworth for a short walk and a swim to keep him moving. An evening walk on a beach is also nice depending on the time of year and what times dogs are allowed on certain beaches.

Availability
I currently work 33.75 hours a week from Monday to Friday. This means that four days a week I will be working 0800 - 1600 and on one day I will work 0800 - 1145. The shorter day is usually not designated until the week before however it is often flexible. I am usually around at weekends with the occasional social trip out however if I am pet sitting I will aim to adjust my availability around your pets needs.
