Pet care experience
I specialize in small dogs that love lots of lap time and cuddling! Most of the times the little ones sleep with me and get special loving all day. Long and short walks daily. Fenced and supervised backyard play. I’ve had both cats and dogs since I was a child. I have always been the caretaker for all kinds of pets. Friends and neighbors have always relied on me to pet sit. I don’t have a specific pet care style. I just love all the little friends we get to sit.

My first experience with Laurie was a great success! I booked with Laurie after a meet and greet for six days in her home on very short notice. She was very flexible with me and took wonderful care of my Frenchie Bluto including giving him oral meds. All the pics showed Bluto having fun and adapting to her home like it was his home. Upon pick up he seemed to want to stay with Laurie and her dog Hamlet. Nice to know I wasn't missed. That's a good thing.

I have a partially fenced yard for your pet. I have a small beagle mix and a Ragdoll cat that will keep your baby entertained and happy. I am happy to use crates if desired. Otherwise, the pets very much become part of our family. I do keep a very neat and clean home but allow pets to sit on the furniture and sleep with me. Your pet will be well cared for and loved like one of the family. Im best with small gentle pets and cuddlers.

Let me know of any special needs for your dog. I prefer calmer dogs who love to cuddle. I love to walk dogs but most likely will have only short walks and 1 longer walk/ day. My backyard had a small fenced area for dogs. I have a much bigger area for dogs that are trained to stay in the yard. **SPECIAL NEEDS DOGS**Availability based on circumstances. Please note that any dogs accepted that have special needs will incur an extra $25-50/ day fee. Special needs include: dogs that cannot control their bladders/bowels, needs to be carried up/down stairs due to limited mobility, having extremely difficult or special feeding requirements , need medications, have behavioral problems, etc. Please be honest about your pet’s needs. I will make exceptions based on circumstances like very small dogs that can’t manage steps ( I can carry small dogs under 20lbs).
A typical day
We mostly walk through the historic village of Glen Ellyn. I love to take long walks ( weather permitting) to Lake Ellyn and the park.

Availability
I currently work from home and sometimes have appointments out of the house. Your pet will never be alone for more than 5-6 hours in a day. Please note: drop offs prior to 3pm will require me to take off work early. Early or late pick ups or drop offs will incur an extra fee. Before or after 1pm is considered early or late. I will try to make accommodations as much as possible. Please understand. Thanks!
