Pet care experience
I am a true animal lover! Not only do I own my own, but I have also worked for over 20 years with many species and volunteer my time and money to help those in need. I have a degree in Animal Science, and I am highly skilled in animal behavior, training and giving medications. I have taken courses/trainings in all these areas with multiple species including dogs, cats, and exotics. I am happy and capable to watch animals with health issues/special needs, young animals and old animals and give them all the special attention and care they deserve and require.

Laurie is awesome. She is attentive to my dogs and cat’s needs. She is willing to take dogs out in the middle of the night more than once if they have an UTI. She even is not flustered when a cat decides to hide so she does not have to get into a crate for the dreaded car ride home. We have been and will continue to be repeat customers. We are never worried about our pets when we are away as they are under her care.
We left our pup with Laurie who is just absolutely terrific with our high strung little puppy. She spent a few hours with Laurie before the trip. By the second visit she did her adoring tummy walk after she jumped out of the car. When we picked her up later then anticipated after our trip Laurie was ready and reassuring about our tardiness. She seems to have a real gift with dogs, definitely with mine.
Sadie, Shiloh, and Cuddles have stayed with Laurie multiple times. They are well cared for and I have no worries while they are there.
Our dog loves staying with Laurie when we go on vacation. Fantastic communication and she always sends photos/videos. We know she is very well cared for and we are never worried leaving our dog with her.

My home has a fenced in yard for off leash playtime and miles of wooded trails right in my backyard for long, safe leashed walks. We also have a toy basket full of fun things to enrich your pet during their stay with me. Your dog will NEVER be left outdoors unattended, even with the fenced in yard. We will have a long chat before your pet stays with me to discuss their personal need and if they are a digger, fence jumper, escape artist, etc. incase above and beyond safely methods (like keeping a leash on them in the fenced in yard) are needed. We will likely do this at a meet and greet at my home before your fur babies first stay, allowing us to introduce your pup(s) with mine and allow you the chance in advance to see where they will be vacationing while you are away.

All dogs must be dog friendly. I have 2 dogs of my own that are very used to other dogs and dog friendly. We will spend some time talking about your pet before their first stay so they are sure to get the individual care they deserve. If boarding a cat that is not used to dogs, I can easily keep them separate from my dogs and have done so for many boarders and fosters.
A typical day
I have a fenced in area in my yard where your dog can run free and play fetch with me. I also have miles of trails right in my backyard for nice long, safe and peaceful walks in the woods. We have lots of dog toys to share too! At the end of the day, it's always great to lay on the couch together and watch a movie.

Availability
I personally own 2 super friendly pups myself that are well cared for daily just as your pet(s) will be! I still work full-time Monday through Friday, but I am lucky to have a very flexible schedule, and I am able to work from home several days a week. Also, I am the mother of 2 amazing boys. They are now in college, but home on breaks/weekends often. They are 18 and 20 and have been around and helping with animals their entire lives. My husband loves to help with the animals as well. My amazing family excitedly assists with potty breaks, playtime, snuggling, walks, etc.
