Pet care experience
Having owned my own dogs and cats I understand the love and care that we want our pets to experience for them to be happy. I am trained in canine first aid and basic training which gives my fur friends full confidence they’ll be well looked after. I work from home once a week so I am available for day and night care during the week, as well as at the weekends. I am focussed on providing happiness and comfort for my guests. My garden is secure with gates and fencing, and it is big enough for them to roam freely. My home is open plan and is spacious. I am happy to have dogs upstairs if that is what they’re used to.

Highly recommended dog sitters. Laurie had our whippet over the weekend and he loved his stay. He was very relaxed and happy when we collected him. We received updates and videos on his walks.

Excellent communication before hand with updates and pictures during the dogsit. Friendly and professional, i could tell my dog had been well looked after, he was happy and calm which is high praise as he often gets very anxious and is rarely apart from me. I would definetely recommand and will be using Laurie again
Laurie was amazing with my boys and they now have another friend to visit. When we initially met she was thoughtful with the questions she asked about my boys and considered things I hadn’t thought of. She sent pictures of her adventures with my boys as well as being snuggled at the end of the day. I was fully reassured that they were having a great time as much as I was. Will definitely ask Laurie again and would highly recommend.

I would complete a ‘Getting to know you” form which allows me to understand your needs and those of your pet. This will range from what they like to eat to where they like to sleep, and everything in between.
A typical day
It’s really important to me that I understand the specific traits of different breeds so that I can shape the time that I have with them according to their best interests. I have worked with dogs that love to play and some that simply want affection. There are some beautiful walks very close to where I live. I will find out what suits the dog best and adapt to what they want, whether that’s a long country walk, throwing a ball for them, or simply a quick walk followed by lots of fuss.
