I would like to first know about a dog's temperament, special needs, routine, diet, I have no real preferences, as I look at each dog as a unique personality which generally transcends breed. I also like to come by and visit before the sit, so your dog feels even more comfortable with me.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog When I petsit, I make plans to spend as much time as possible with my charge. If I have to go out, I don't go out for more than 3 hours or so at a time during the day, and generally try to schedule as little personal outside time as possible, especially during the first few days of sitting. I believe it is important to engender as much trust as possible and to work around a dog's normal schedule in order to keep any anxiety to a minimum. Extra house-sitting services I am happy to to take care of all sorts of things such as mail, plants, house appointments and I'm open to help. Also, I keep the house clean, return it to the owner in a nice "Happy to come home" condition.

Availability
Caring for your pets in their familiar environment is important when owners must leave town. I take the responsibility quite seriously, and I add a feeling of security and familiarity by spending lots of time and keeping pets on schedule. They know they can trust me to protect and spoil them just a bit without compromising their regular disciplines. I have experience caring for kittens, puppies, geriatric and animals with special needs, including administering medications. Cats and dogs love being with me because they know I love them, respect them, and we have a lot of fun too!
