Fenced daycare and boarding -Linden

Pet care experience

Recently retired and relocated to Florida from NY, I spend the day at home with our energetic Irish Setter, Ginger, who is now five years old and about 70 lbs. She is the seventh in a long line of precious fur-kids. My husband and I got our first setter in 1972 and have had at least one ever since. We want to give your dog a chance to come play/stay with us too! We have a huge fenced yard in our courtyard home in Linden in the Villages and we spoil the dogs completely. We plan on hosting only one clients dogs at a time so your baby will get lots of attention! Staying overnight? Your pup will wake up to scrambled eggs for breakfast (if you allow it). The dogs are allowed on furniture and beds if that's the norm for them and we also have crates for those that prefer crating. We have dog beds in most rooms and we have a toy chest filled with things to keep them busy inside and some agility equipment outside. Our home is carpeted in most rooms so you wont need to worry about your dog slipping on bare floors! I've cared for dogs for 45 years and have completed Pet CPR and first-aid courses too!

Laurie was fantastic! Bear was treated like family. Bear had a large yard to run and made a great friend with Laurie’s dog Ginger. I highly recommend Laurie.

Information Laurie A. would like to know about your pet

Ginger is a very active Irish setter so dogs who stay with us or come to play can expect to get a lot of exercise playing with her. Our guests must be house-trained, up to date on vaccinations, and get along very well with other dogs. We prefer pets between 40-80 lbs. We would want to do a meet and greet before a first visit to make sure there aren't any problems. We would like to know all the things that make your baby so special to you, including diet, favorite activities, normal routine, any unique behaviors, etc. I have a form you will receive at the meet and greet which will need to be returned at your first visit The more we know, the more we can assure your pup has a fun stay with us!

A typical day

Our large fenced yard has both sun and shade most of the day! We sometimes have a small agility tunnel and jump set up in afdition to frisbees and balls when the weather is nice to give them some fun outside exercise. When the weather is not so nice, we play inside with tons of toys.
