Taking care of your pet like my own

Pet care experience

My main biggest pet care experience has been having my dog for the past six years. I rescued her from a shelter in LA not knowing much about dogs. She was a military drop out one year old traumatized puppy. It took a lot of time, and patience, and love, and trust.. but anyone with a rescue knows. She was (still is lol) high energy and I had to teach her how to climb and go down the stairs, not pee herself out of fear in elevators, researching what's the best food, what's the best pet health insurance, moving from an apartment to a house.. quite the journey, but we did it! Thanks to her, I can now take on any dog and any challenge. Also had a cat for a total of 17 years. While I got her at 11 years old only, I was in charge of feeding her daily, cleaning whatever mess she'd make, and she came with me everywhere I went (did not leave her behind when I went to college). I love(d) her so much and she made me a very responsible and mature pet parent.

Lauriane has walked my very reactive pit bull with grace! She sends lots of updates, and is very communicative of her walks with my baby. She is flexible, reliable, and super caring. I will definitely be using her again!

I cannot think of a better person to care for your pet than Lauriane. She has dog sat for my 2 senior dogs, both with different needs and they love her! On top of that, she will go above and beyond and will look out for your other pets (my fish tank and hamster), your plants, and your home! She will treat your dog as her own and send many updates and photos while you’re away, so you will never miss them. Every time she takes my dogs on a walk, it is the longest walk they have ever been on and always return exhausted and happy as can be! Lauriane will always be my first choice in caring for my pets and home!

Nola is absolutely the sweetest dog you'll meet and Lauriane cares for her like no other. I started watching Nola through Rover when Lauriane would go out of town and seeing how behaved, loved and cared for Nola was, I ended up hiring Lauriane for my two own dogs ; at the time, a 9 month old puppy jack Russel and a senior 14 year old Corgi. She is the best at updates and pictures/videos, reassuring me and my dogs adored her. Would 10000% recommend her.

Lauriane watched my cat every single weekend for a whole year when we were studying for our PhD while I worked out of town. It was an old cat that had gross runny eyes and eye boogers and she'd clean her up every single time (just a detail I remember because who does that seriously 💕) She'd send me regular updates with pictures and was just so thoughtful and loving She even did it for free (lmao) because we were broke, and I'm eternally grateful for her (girl I owe you, love you)

My dog roams around freely in the house so no crate for her but if your dog needs to be in a crate, I can do that. My backyard is pretty big and is fully fenced and 100% safe as shepherds are escape artists so I needed to make it sneaky-proofed. She will literally try to run away whenever she gets a chance so I'm VERY hands on with other people's dogs as I don't want them to escape on me!!

Information Lauriane D. would like to know about your pet

I'm comfortable with all and any breed, any age, any "activity level" and anything really. I can cater to puppies and their constant need to play and the need for me caretaker to be patient, a slower pace senior that is more of a couch potato, or the dog who just wants to walk and sniff every corner on the street

A typical day

Number one activity would be walks! They need the physical exercise as well as sense stimulation (their smell, specifically). Then play, however they'd like (tug, fetch, pretend fighting, running around, hide and seek). Then cuddles. Alllllllll the cuddles and the love and the scratches.

I'm flexible as I have been working from home. My spoiled dog gets walks all day long literally whenever she asks. Early morning, or late in the evening, I love walking (10K steps a day goal 💪🏼) and enjoy the company of dogs while doing so.
