I am a life long animal lover and have an extensive background in pet care, animal welfare, and humane safety. I have been pet sitting for the last decade or so and am very comfortable taking care of dogs, cats, and small pets such as rabbits and rats. I spent a large chunk of my professional career working in animal welfare in the non profit world. I worked hands on at a shelter not only to care for the animals, but also as a staff trainer where I educated team members on humane animal care and handling, dog and cat body language, and how to engage with pets of all kinds in a way that makes them feel safe and comfortable. I have experience caring for a wide range of pet personalities- everything from a goofy golden retriever to a spicy feral cat! I am a cat mom to two sweet angels and always worry when I leave them in the care of someone else, so I will make sure to provide plenty of photos and updates to put your mind at ease.
