Pet care experience
I've been lucky enough to be around animals from the day I was born. After college (I have a bachelors degree in Education) I became a professional horse trainer and worked for 10 years outside of the home but since our family's separation from the Air Force a couple years ago and having my second child, I'm now a stay at home mom. I am able to be home all day with your pet; to play, continue/reinforce your training and to, of course, give them love. My two children absolutely love the dogs and cats and are always around and happy to help (they are always supervised). My background with horse and dog training sets me up to be successful during your pets stay. We do have one small, older dog (Bruiser, a Shih Tzu mix) that gets along extremely well with others. We also have a cat (Flip) that is very good at not being around if the visiting dog is not a fan of cats. He has his own sanctuary in the basement. I am also familiar with using different training tools and able to give your pet medicine and basic injections. I have lots of experience with working breeds and have had serveral of my own. I'm excited to meet you and your pet!

My dog (Calvin) had a great time staying with Lauren’s family! Lauren sent photos and updates throughout his stay and he looked like he was having a great time, playing outdoors, socializing with a couple other dogs, and playing with Lauren’s kids. I will definitely see if she has availability for him in the future when I travel, and may even try to book him some “doggie daycare” sessions just for the good experience of socializing with other people (especially kids, who he never spends time around) and the exercise! Much more fun for him than hanging out in the house while I work all day. :)
This was the first time our two puppies stayed away from home, and they had a fantastic time! Lauren took excellent care of them and made them feel right at home. Lauren was attentive to their special puppy needs. They enjoyed the large fenced yard, the wonderful children and the other playful dogs. It was like a vacation for our puppies!

Lauren is amazing!!! My dog loved her large fenced yard, he got a lot with her pets very well! I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her dedication, expertise and genuine love for animals shine through in every aspect of her service. The layout of our home is perfect for dog sitting. Your pet will have lots of space and can easily be separated if/when needed while not fully separating them from us. We have a nice large back yard for running around and playing with big trees for shade in the summer. Our yard has split rail fencing and mesh wire making it safe for dogs of all sizes! We also live in a great neighborhood for walks. We're within walking distance of a dog park- if that's something your dog enjoys!

It’s always important to know the things your dog really enjoys as well as any triggers of things they may not like. It’s also good to know if they have any tendencies to chew certain types of toys or eat unwanted things.
A typical day
Depending on what your dog enjoys, it would either be games, inside or outside in the fenced yard, of catch or tug-of-war. Maybe some trick or obedience practice or training. Also, plenty of walks around the neighborhood. If they enjoy a dog park, we are in walking distance to a large one!

Availability
I am a stay at home mom with my two year old. I go ride my horses during the week but the time and days are always flexible. My husband is an airline pilot and when he's home he is present all day also in the house to spend time with our four legged residents!
