Gentle care from foster mom
Pet care experience
I’ve had pets since I was 20 but my love for animals kicked in during COVID when I started fostering litters of kittens for local rescues, visiting farms, and pet sitting. Since then my interest in working with and learning about animals has only grown. I provide gentle care, with my interest being the health and well being of the animals always. I’m a willing learner and happy to try new situations and animals. I’ve cared for senior animals as well as newborns, and am comfortable with injections.
Reviews
Lauren fostered the 17 pound diabetic cat we would eventually adopt. Mufasa went from scared and aggressive to calm and cuddly. She is gentle and persistent and very good with animals.
Lauren fostered our kitten. When she came to live with us she had recovered from an eye injury with Lauren’s TLC. She was healthy and well socialized. Lauren I’d wonderful with animals !
Lauren watched my golden retriever, Mac. She made sure he was healthy and happy, well exercised and with plenty of cuddles. I recommend her, she is wonderful with let’s!

Safety, trust & environment
In others’ homes I do everything I can to meet basic needs as well as provide appropriate exercise, interaction, and affection to make the animal comfortable and as stress-free as possible. I stick to routine as much as I can. I respect rules and boundaries and look to the family to guide me in the best way to serve their pet.
Information Lauren W. would like to know about your pet
I want to know as much as possible about your pet so I can provide the best care. Common questions I Clyde: how does your pet handle separation? How does your pet typically react to strangers? What special needs does your pet have? Where does your pet prefer to be touched and how handled?
A typical day
I love fetch and chase in the backyard. If cat toys are available we will play with a wand or balls, whatever is there. I love to play tug of war with dogs. Nothing is better than giving affectionate to a lonely animal and helping them feel better!

Availability
My availability is dependent on my childcare schedule. I’m a teacher during the school year, so my availability is best and most flexible during the summer.
