A home is not complete without a furry, feathery or scaly friend. Animals aren't just pets, they're family, too! I am a loving cat mom of two rescues, and I will love and care for your furry companions as if they were my own. I've been a passionate animal lover for as long as I can remember. Friends and family know me as the "Crazy Cat Lady" or the "cat whisperer." There have been numerous times where I've met a friend's cat (or dog) who they swear doesn't like strangers, but become a sweet ball of purrs and/or licks when they meet me. In addition to growing up with fish and turtles, I have pet sat for numerous cats and dogs (as well as a bunny and a bird) over the past 17 years. While the majority of my experience is with cats, I do have extensive experience with dogs as well. I am a former volunteer from a local non-kill animal adoption center where I fostered kittens and walked numerous dogs of a wide range of breeds, personalities and ages. I was previously trained in how to properly train, interact with and walk dogs with behavioral issues due to abuse, abandonment or just a lack of training. I make sure to let each cat or dog know they are loved and safe with me, whether it's through words, body language or just keeping my energy calm and positive. I am also a former veterinary office receptionist, so I have knowledge and experience with a wide variety of dogs and cats who may need extra attention and special care. Your pet's safety will always be my #1 priority! After fostering 3 kittens, I ended up adopting one of them, who is now 9 years old. She is a beautiful Calico/Siamese mix named Sammi (Samantha), who just happened to be born with one kidney. Because of this, she requires a strict diet, daily medication, and extra vet visits. If your kitty requires any extra care or special attention, I am more than qualified to provide that. I've never owned a dog, but I've lived with my sister-in-law's dog for 3 years, who I walked, played with and loved as my very own. Fun fact: I taught my cat how to stand, sit and roll-over for treats. Some say she's better at it than some dogs! I am currently a full-time pet sitter and dog walker with a semi-flexible schedule.
