I have had dogs all of my life. As an an adult I began training my own dogs for various sports and activities including waterfowl and upland game hunting, detection, search and rescue, tracking, agility, and obedience. I particularly love working with puppies and young dogs. I have been a professional dog trainer for the past 7 years working in conservation law enforcement. I am able to accommodate dogs with special diets and giving medications. Each dog is unique and has their own needs. Given my extensive background in training and behavior modification I am able to provide care, enrichment and safety for most dogs at any stage in their life. I also hold a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA®) credential.

Lauren is wonderful at caring for dogs and her place is a dog spa!!!! I couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable , caring and patient sitter. I have a 130lb Great Dane who has separation anxiety and is high maintenance. You couldn’t ask for a better sitter to put your mind at rest on your travels. 5 ⭐️

I have a very large securely fenced yard. If your dog is friendly I have 2 friendly female dogs that they can hang out and play with. If they are a dog who prefers their own space I can accommodate that as well. I do typically crate my personal dogs at night and when I leave the house for their safety and to keep them out of any potential trouble. I routinely provide food enrichment toys so your dog can have something to keep them busy, chew on and play with. Play is a crucial part of life for both humans and dogs, so if your dog loves to play fetch or tug it is game on! Daily walks, runs or bike rides are the norm as well.

As a very experienced trainer I can often accommodate dogs that have behaviors we as a society often label as challenging or undesired. Please let me know if you dog does not get along with other dogs, resources guards food or toys, is nervous around strangers or children, dislikes being in a crate or kennel, does not enjoy riding in a car, etc. Dogs I am not able to accommodate are dogs who are truly aggressive towards humans or have separation anxiety. Additionally please let me know if your dog has any food allergies or intolerances, physical limitations or restrictions. I do require veterinary proof of current vaccinations for rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospisis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) and Bordetella, this is for the safety of my dogs, other peoples dog and your dog as well :)
A typical day
Dogs needs both physical and mental stimulation. I often provide meals in a way that the dog has to hunt for their food or access their food through an interactive food toy. I have a very large yard that they will have access to and can play in. Walks in my neighborhood or at local parks, the trails or the beach or dog park (if your dog is friendly with other dogs/people and reliable off leash).
