Pet care experience
Hi! My name Lauren and I have such a passion for dogs and cats. I personally do not currently have a dog of my own so I would love to help other people care for their dogs or cats. I have been around dogs my whole life and I have also volunteered at an animal shelter, caring for cats and dogs and it is something I absolutely love doing. I am a very active person and I love spending time outdoors so your dogs will definitely be given lots of attention in my hands and we will have a lot of fun together! I have run cross country and track throughout high school so whether you have a super active dog or a mellow dog, they will be well cared for. I have two cats of my own, so if you need help caring for cats, then I’m definitely the person for the job!

Lauren did a wonderful job on a recent four-day weekend with our golden and two cats. She proactively arranged the meet-and-greet, arrived promptly, met our pets and asked relevant questions. Over the course of the weekend, she kept us updated with photos and texts. It rained a couple days, a challenge with our golden - Lauren was conscious of making sure paws were wiped before coming in the house. We arrived home to a note detailing when everyone had last been let out and feed, etc. Lauren went above and beyond bringing in our mail and watering the flowers : ) Highly recommended!
Lauren has had experience dog sitting for several years. She has helped with feeding, walking and caring for dogs ( and cats.) Lauren is responsible and works to her to know each pet as though it is her own!

I have a large apartment with a yard space for dogs, however I tend to prefer talking pups for walks in the neighborhood and on campus. My building is dog friendly and secure, so they’d be in a safe and trusting environment. I only crate dogs upon request from owners, however I don’t always let dogs in bed with me at night as I already have two cats that sleep in my bed. I provide lots of love whether I’m caring for dogs at my house or someone else’s, and I make sure the environment is always comfortable and safe.

It’s helpful to know about any needs your pet has that are specific to your pet, as well as information about how they tend to react to strangers/other animals. I have a roommate and two cats, so if they’re staying at my house, I have to ensure that they won’t negatively impact anyone living here. Along with that, it’s incredibly important to know how they react to strangers, as I live in the city and I would hate for them to get overwhelmed while walking or on campus.
A typical day
Going on walks and playing fetch at the quad on campus is one of my favorite things to do with furry visitors. I’m a very active person, so going for several walks a day is very typical for me and I love to spend a lot of time outdoors.

Availability
I have classes in the morning and I tend to work in the late afternoon/evening, however I have a lot of breaks in my day that open up times for walks or playing. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I’m able to make plenty of time for multiple walks a day and lots of cuddles.
