Information Lauren V. would like to know about your pet

Understanding your pet's temperament and personality quirks ahead of time important: I will specifically need to know how they feel around new people and other animals in general, their sensitivities and anything that works to make them feel more comfortable if they are nervous. I will want to know what they love to do and what kind of affection they like to give or receive. I will need to know how to administer medication, where their food is located if I need to feed them, where their leash is, and where the poop bags are!

A typical day

When I do a drop-in visit on your your pup, I will spend time with them outside or inside- whichever they prefer! I can take them for a walk in your neighborhood or play fetch with them in the backyard. I plan to spend quality time with them and give them lots of affection and attention, rub their belly, feed them, give them treats if need be and make sure they are getting plenty of water! If they have medication needs, I will give them their medicine. If I am doing a pop-in visit on a cat/s, I will give them tons of affection if they come to me, and if they need space I will show them attention from afar until they get used to me, or if hugs are not their style, I can give them treats and throw their toys for them, or play with a kitty laser to get them exercise! It all depends upon the personality and needs of the animal, and I am open to learning about their needs and giving them some companionship while you are away.

Pet care experience

I grew up in a home with dogs, cats, bunnies, hens and roosters. I have never lived without caring for an animal! I love being outside, going for walks, playing and gardening. I am a mom of two school-aged boys and a proud owner of two tuxedo kitties whom we adopted nine years ago.

first off, Lauren is my neighbor, she has not only been a great neighbor but a trustworthy friend I can count on! A few years ago I had to go to Hawaii for a trip. I needed a dog sitter badly, last minute I came to Lauren and had asked her is she could look after my precious baby Bella. Not only was she willing to squire Bella into her schedule, she made she Bella was taken care of and even given me updates ! She is phenomenal with kids also. Once I have my share of kids I know who I’ll be calling to be my nanny!

We hired Lauren to bring our dog for weekly walks while we were at work so she could get some exercise and stretch her legs and Lauren was great! She always went above and beyond in showing love and care for our pup. Our dog was still a "teenager" at the time and is a cattle dog mix so required a good amount of energy expenditure to get her wiggles out and always came home ready to relax and take a nap. I'd recommend Lauren in a heartbeat!
