Pet care experience
Hi! I grew up with dogs as a child and often look after my family border collie for weeks at a time, i had my own dog here in Edinburgh who was a Pomeranian (sadly passed away last year), so i have lots of experience with both small and big dogs. Unfortunately my Pomeranian had several health issues, but this means i am used to dealing with animals who may need to take medication or have special requirements. I love to go on walks and will go normally every day so would love to bring dogs with me on my adventures! I hope you choose me to help care for you pet as i would love to meet and make friends with some more dogs!

Hello. Lauren has been brilliant with my dog! She has filled the gaps where work and holiday commitments meant I needed some help. Her help has been greatly appreciated, anything from half a day to a few weeks. She is reliable and great at keeping me informed, but perhaps the most telling and comforting to me is the way my dog greets her with excitement. I have no hesitation in recommending Lauren for dog walking, sitting and overnight stays. David
Although my experience with Lauren has not been with dogsitting but catsitting, I can confidently say I would trust her with my cat anytime. She has on multiple occasions had my cat in her home, at one point caring for her for two weeks whilst I was inbetween flats. She kept my cat, who is young and can be a handful, fed, entertained and most importantly loved like it was her own pet for all of that two weeks. She has also looked after my hedgehog, which is an exotic pet and quite hard to care for, keeping him comfortable and loved for the evening so that I came back to a stress free happy hedgehog. I would truly trust Lauren with any pet i have now or in the future as I know she would always care for them correctly and with love.
Lauren looked after my lively German Shepard and had no problem keeping up with her and making sure she was entertained and comforted (which can be quite an effort as she thinks she is a lap dog) whilst I was away. She was also great at walking her and ensuring she used up all her extra energy and could relax when she came home. Lauren would be my first choice for someone to look after her if it was ever needed.
Lauren is reliable, responsible and caring. She looked after my dog for 2 weeks and my border collie returned with a beautiful coat (she's long haired so can get very matted) and my dog obviously loved being around lauren. It was clear that she had been well looked after. When my dog has seen lauren subsequently, she has been very excited to see her - always a good sign and lauren has been really affectionate towards my dog. I have every confidence in lauren and would be more than happy to let her look after my collie again.

I ensure a secure environment, follow any specific instructions or routines provided by the owner, and create a comfortable and welcoming space for the pets. In addition I am competent and comfortable administering medicine, different feeding routines and control of the dog in high stress environments should it be necessary (hopefully not!)

A typical day
A typical day with the dogs I watch involves lots of fun activities! We might go for walks in nearby parks or explore dog-friendly trails. I also love playing fetch, teaching new tricks, and giving them plenty of belly rubs!

Availability
I currently work part-time night shifts and so I am available throughout the entire day meaning I can work around a variety of schedules, I also have very flexible night shifts so if booked for the night I would be able to arrange my work around that.
