Pet care experience
I’ve always had a great love for animals, especially dogs. I’ve had family dogs growing up and adore the family dog that we currently have. I lived abroad in Canada for over a year and had the pleasure of working in a dog day care. I learned a great deal more about dogs and how each dog has different needs. I’ve always had the general knowledge for looking after pets, but working at the day care in Canada gave me a huge insight into much more. I have also completed an veterinary assistant online course, where I learned how to perform CPR on a dog and spotting signs for when they may need help or attention. I’m also very active and love going for walks, which is why I’d be happy to take other’s dogs for walks.

We hired Lauren to come and dog sit for ourselves for our three dogs on our wedding day. Not only was she reliable from initially booking months in advanced she kept in touch throughout to ensure our minds were at ease until the day. She is very professional and by the looks of the photos she sent to keep us updated my dogs had a fantastic time with Lauren. We honestly couldn’t thank her enough for being so amazing with the dogs and keeping us updated to keep our minds at ease that they were being well looked after. We would definitely recommend Lauren to anyone looking for someone to look after their dogs wether it be popping in to walk them to having someone stay at their home to watch their pets. Lauren has worked with dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds as a Dog Daycare Attendant in Toronto. She was very friendly, reliable and knowledgeable and was always attentive to the dogs in her care. She has a gentle approach with animals and the dogs certainly loved her.

I don’t have any breed preferences. Of course I’d like to know about anything important, such as if a dog has any triggers (e.g. separation anxiety, scared of loud noises, dislikes strangers). It’s always great to know a pet’s routine, so I can keep to it and make sure they aren’t too disrupted without their owner.
A typical day
I’ll happily take dogs for walks in their local areas, but I can also take them to places by travelling in my car. Haughmond Hill is a favourite for dogs from my experience, but of course it can get muddy. The Quarry and a long walk along the river is another great walk for dogs.
