Active dog owner and lover!

Pet care experience

Dogs have always been the center of my life, and I couldn't be happier! My dogs are my family, and our home is always welcome to new furry friends. I have one 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd, Braxton, who is a friendly and energetic playmate for your dog! Braxton enjoys 2 long, strenuous walks & 1 run a day to keep up with his energy and endless love, toys & treats--your dog will come home happy and relaxed!

Lauren was awesome! Scott had a great time at her place with Braxton. She was really good about communicating with me and sending me pictures of the pups which made me really happy. Will definitely use her services again next time I go out of town. Thanks Lauren (and Braxton)!

Information Lauren S. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preference- Braxton has never met a dog he didn't like. Exercise Preference: If you have a small breed dog that may not be up for Braxton's typical daily workout regime, we will certainly accommodate to their preferences. Oppositely, if you have a little fur ball of energy, we can certainly amp up the play time! Potty Training/Chewing: Braxton is left out during the day to free roam the house as he pleases. He normally sleeps between breakfast and lunch, and then after his lunch time walk. If your dog can also be relied on to stay out of trouble [no chewing] and wait until lunch to go out [fully potty trained], they are certainly welcome to free roam the house as well. My goal is to exercise dogs enough that they will be ready for a nap! If you have a puppy, or a dog that is still mastering the art of potty training or non-chewing, it is no problem to keep your pup crated in the in-between times. Dog Temperament: I have owned many dogs over the past 20 years and I understand that each comes with their own unique personalities and unique preferences. If your dog doesn't do well around a lot of other dogs, please let me know and I will make sure that we stick to just the "core pack" of me and Braxton. On the other hand, if your dog is a social butterfly, we will absolutely take a few trips to a local dog park! Unfortunately, if you dog is aggressive towards ALL dogs [i.e. Braxton], our home is not right for your needs. Anything & Everything Else: Just ask! Rover likes to eat 3 times a day? No problem. Spot doesn't share toys well? No problem. Clifford has food allergies or on a strict diet? We'll follow it! Fido needs to take his supplements? We'll whip out the peanut-butter and administer it deliciously! I know when I'm looking to board my fur baby I want someone who will make them feel as comfortable and at home as possible. That is what I will provide for your fur baby as well!

A typical day

1 mile long walk in the morning, .5 mile walk at lunch [12:00-2:00] & 1.5 mile run in the evening [5:30-6:30]. Free play/snuggle time from 6:30-bedtime. Hiking at Umstead Park, frisbee & fetch, tug-of-war with Braxton, plenty of toys, dog park [only if your dog enjoys them!] and lots of toys, Kongs and bones to keep your furry friend occupied and happy!
