Pet care experience
I've been around dogs my whole life, they've always been a part of our family. From a young age I looked after the family dogs - feeding them, walking them, bathing them, clearing up after them, and (the best part) playing with them. When I moved away for uni, I ended up doing dog walking for one of my professors while I still had a relatively flexible timetable. Since moving to London I've been regularly dog sitting and walking for friends and new contacts as often as possible. I've never had any formal training, but have looked after small and mid-sized dogs in the past.

Lauren has dog sat for me a few times now and she has been great! Rupert loves it when he gets to stay over Lauren's now. Would highly recommend!
Lauren’s been my go-to dog sitter for almost 3 years. She’s very dependable and my dogs love spending time with her because she makes sure to take them out for a walk 2-3 times a day and gives them all the cuddles they want. One of my dogs is very high energy but she handled him well while he was still leash training. She also always left my flat in a great condition after her stays so I was always coming home to 2 very happy dogs and a clean flat. I would highly recommend Lauren to take care of your dogs!
Lauren loves dogs and would like to have one of her own but recognises that her work schedule and busy life would make that a little difficult. She has looked after my dog and other family dogs many times. She is a responsible and mature person who likes to keep active and has fun walking and playing with dogs. She has a positive and nurturing personality and would be an ideal pet caregiver.

Unfortunately, my current flat does not allow pets so I'm unable to dog-sit at my home. In terms of dog walking and taking care of pets in their owners' home, I would want to first talk with the owner and see what they're preferences, rules, or care routines are as I know all pet owners have a different strategy that works for them!

Let me know ahead of time if you have any food or exercise preferences for your dog, if they aren't comfortable around other dogs, and if they have any serious health concerns which may be important to be aware of. Also, if there are any specific rules or routines you'd like me to follow so I don't confuse any previous training, please do let me know! Ideally I'm there to make your life easier and keep your dog happy & healthy!
A typical day
I think exercise and playfulness is extremely important for dogs, young and old! Keeping a dog active with games and walks/runs throughout the day is always fun - especially when they're exploring new areas and smells. In London, I love taking dogs to Hampstead Heath as there's lots of room to run around, lots of smells, and lots of other dog walkers around if they're sociable.

I currently work full time (9am-5pm) but have relatively flexible working hours, especially when working from home. I have no regular commitments during evenings and weekends, so would be very happy to work around your schedule!
