Animal lover & veterinary student!

Pet care experience

I am a veterinary student and have worked in shelters and clinics since I was 16 years old. If you’re looking for someone to walk your best friend, check in on them and give them some love, I’m your girl! If your pet needs more specific medical care, I am confident in giving or applying medications, or doing injections (insulin, etc.). I’ve seen many health conditions throughout the years and being in school has allowed me to understand your pet’s condition on a deeper level.

I do not have to worry about Martini's care with lauren. I know she will go above and beyond to make sure she is cared for. I do not have to check up or check in to make sure she does her job. I can trust that if she says she will be there, she shows up. She also does more than stop in and take care of her. She spends time playing with her and cuddling with her as well. I cannot recommend enough

I couldn't think of a better candidate to care for my precious babies while I'm away. She is a very trustworthy person that cares so passionately about the animals health and wellbeing. So much so that she is pursuing a future in the veterinary world! Who could possibly top that?

I treat homes with the utmost respect and I understand I am entering your pet’s home as well. I can easily crate your pet if needed or give medications etc. If you have any nervous fur-babies, please let me know in advance if there are special requirements for entering the home or approaching the pet. I highly encourage doing a meet and greet first, so I can meet your pet and they can meet me too! We can become familiar and build a trusting relationship.

Information Lauren R. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if your pet is on the more nervous or anxious side. This will allow me to approach them and the home safetly and will allow me to do my best not to startle them! I would love to do a meet and greet with you and your pet to get acclimated and see if I’m the right fit!

A typical day

We can go for walks or play with your pet’s favorite squeaky toy! I loving doing “sniff walks” for pets that have a busy mind or need extra stimulation. Fifteen minutes of sniffing while walking is equivalent to one hour of high intensity cardio. Basically, I let your dog sniff safe objects (poles, grass, or wherever their nose takes them) all while keeping them safe from other pets or harmful objects. Your pet will be pooped after a good sniff walk. For other pets, if the owner is wanting a more swift walk to do a cardio based exercise, I can also do that! If you’re working on training, I can also keep your pet fresh on their newly learned tricks to show off when you get home.
