Safe, loving home in West Asheville
Pet care experience
Hi everyone I’m Lauren! I live in West Asheville with my wife, our 10 year old son, and our one year old pup, Jersey. I am not a professional dog walker, but I previously worked as a first responder for 13 years and I’ve had pets my whole life. I currently care for my own dog, and my son’s bearded dragon! Our dog is fixed, has all her shots/vaccines, receives prescription flea medication and receives regular vet care. I’m happy to provide references that can speak to my integrity, reliability and love of animals.
Reviews
What an awesome experience for Cash! Lauren and her pup Jersey were wonderful hosts. Cash had a blast and was well cared for. I got daily updates and pics, and I know he’s missing having Jersey around now that he’s back home. I highly recommend Lauren and look forward to the opportunity to have Cash stay with them again.
Lauren (and her family) are great sitters very clean home and sent pictures and videos of Willie. Very flexible and caring for our 15 year old dog!
Lauren is super thoughtful and caring! Both of my dogs curled up in her arms and felt so relaxed. She gives lots of kisses, is very patient, and my Extremely emotional big dog rested his head on her and fell asleep. My puppy curled right up on her and kept giving her kisses; the puppy definitely has opinions about people and definitely tells me when she does not like someone, so the fact that she curled up on Lauren was a big tell. I would totally recommend her to everyone!
I have worked with Lauren for over 6 years and have nothing but the utmost trust in her, her abilities, her caring nature, and her character. Lauren is responsible, respectful, diligent and will without a doubt care for your pet like she does her own. I have counted on Lauren in numerous types of situations and have never once doubted her abilities or reliability. Whether it is pet sitting at your home, taking little Spot on a walk or dropping in for a potty break, rest assured Lauren can be counted on. If there is one person to trust with your fur children, it is Lauren.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a nice, safe house with a big yard, however, the yard is only partially fenced. At this time I will only board/pet-sit one other dog besides my own. I leash dogs while taking bathroom breaks in the yard for safety purposes. I am able to take dogs out for bathroom breaks at whatever interval you request. I currently let my own dog out about every four hours. I regularly take my dog on neighborhood walks and would be happy to walk your dog too. I try to keep pets off my furniture; you are welcome to bring your dog’s bed here. I am open to having your dog on my furniture if they are on the smaller side. I will feed your dog, if needed, with food provided by you and I can likely dispense medications if we discuss it ahead of time. A fresh water bowl will always be provided. Your dog is safe with us, but it’s also imperative that we are safe with your dog! Your dog will need to get along with other dogs (mine specifically) and be ok with a 10 year old kid. I prefer to do a meet and greet prior to booking.
Information Lauren P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavioral issues I should be aware of. I sense that I may be able to navigate many scenarios, but there are some issues that I cannot take on (Ex. Your dog is aggressive with children.)
A typical day
Depending on your dog’s needs and capabilities, I am happy to provide an outlet for exercise and play. That may be accomplished through a walk, ball chasing, or play time with my dog if they are compatible.
