Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover my whole life! When I was younger my hobby was studying dog breeds in my dog books so I have a vast array of knowledge on dog types, demeanor etc..I have been volunteering at my local animal shelter for about 10 years now. I currently have two dogs at my parents house who I grew up with and had one other before he passed a few years ago. I frequently dog sit for people I know, close friends or acquaintances. The longest time I have sat for was a 10 day period living in the house with 2 dogs and a cat! I often do weekends and I am comfortable with any type of dog breed. My grandma swears I am a dog whisperer because her dog has never let anyone pick her up except me:) I provide excellent care, giving the dogs lots of attention and exercise! I love to give the royal treatment as animals mean so much to me and they are vastly intelligent with a need for physical and emotional support!

I am in a nice neighborhood with plenty of space for exercise and new smells, a park nearby and close enough to walk to Calhoun. I don’t have any pets living with me so it would just be the two (or three or four) of us and my partner who also has a great love for animals. I keep a clean and tidy home, so no suspicious objects get gobbled up :)

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or accommodations. I will most certainly adjust any of the above activities per the demeanor or capabilities of a furry friend. Do they get along with others, are they triggered by certain sounds, things-reactive? I always make sure to put the needs of the pet first :)
A typical day
I love to give loads of attention to the furry friend staying with me. I really believe in the importance of mental stimulation and the necessity of games to tickle that itch! I love hide and seek, working on skills, treat or peanut butter puzzles and teaching words. There are parks very close by to go explore and stretch the legs and I love to get out to the dog park midday as well to get that social interaction in!

Availability
I am currently working from home and I have flexible hours. This allows me to begin my mornings early with a walk (that I take regardless if I have a pup present or not) and provide attentive care throughout the day with exercise and attention. I love to take pups to the dog park as well during the day! Weekends I remain active and spend as much time outdoors as possible.
