Pet care experience
Hi there! Our names are Lauren and Nick and we look forward to meeting you and your pup! We are self-employed and work from home with our dog, Hudson. We have lots of time to devote to your pup throughout the day and there are lots of great parks and beaches nearby for fun walks or outside playtime. Your dog is welcome to come in our vehicle for trips to the park or the beach, or even just for groceries if they love car rides. Services we offer include: - walks - home visits We will consider in-home boarding and/or daycare as well on a case-by-case basis. We need to ensure our dog will get along with yours so that everyone has a great experience. Our dog is 4 years old, pretty laid back, and gets along with most dogs. Dogs that are puppies, un-fixed, quite high strung and are allowed on furniture are not the best fit for our household. Our home has a large fenced yard for your pup to play and an outdoor patio where he or she can lay in the sun. We are comfortable hosting all breeds and sizes of dogs as well as providing any special care needed for more elderly dogs (we are pros at providing oral medication if your dog needs it). We haven't been on Rover as dog sitters for a few years, but we have 20+ years of experience caring for dogs - both our own and for friends and family. Lauren and Nick were fabulous sitting my cockapoo, Nikki. I knew from our Meet and Greet that it was a perfect match. Nikki was so excited when she returned for her weekend stay (always a good sign). They were extremely attentive to her and took her on great walks to the beach. Honestly, cannot recommend this couple highly enough and will DEFINITELY use them again. Nikki has insisted upon it!
Lauren has taken care of my Westie for periods of one to six weeks over the past several years. She has a long history with both small and large dogs and is an outstanding caregiver. Her home is set up well for dogs, with individual spaces for eating, a large, sunny porch, and a fenced yard at the back of the house. In addition, Lauren works from home, so your doggies will get lots of face time. Dogs are never kennelled, unless they prefer the solitude at bedtime. Winston is on a special diet and daily medication and this is no problem in maintaining at Lauren's place. She has experience dealing with picky eaters, medication administration, and both young and senior pets. I have no hesitation at all in leaving my dog in her care. I highly recommend Lauren as a flexible, reliable, and responsible caregiver.

We have a fenced yard where your pup can explore and run around, but we always monitor the pups when they're outside. Our home is over two floors, but the main floor is fully accessible (no stairs for those elderly pups!). All walks are on-leash.

A typical day
Our Sidney neighbourhood is perfect for long walks and there are two parks within a block of our home. We also love to walk out in the woodsy Deep Cove area or downtown Sidney for a more urban feel.

Availability
We both work from home and have flexible schedules, so last-minute requests for walks or dog sitting can usually be accommodated! Please let us know what your pup's normal routine is so that we can try and follow it to make them as comfortable as possible.
