Home-from-home care for small and medium dogs
Pet care experience
I'm passionate about dogs because they make everything better. Even a grumpy morning commute can be lit up with smiles if there's a furry friend in the equation! I've spent around eight years now caring for dogs - walking, daycare and boarding - for friends and through sites like this. I look forward to meeting you and to welcoming your dog into my home for plenty of games, cuddles and walks in the park. A little about me: I live in a flat and therefore am best placed to look after smaller/medium sized dogs. I work from home full time as a Data Analyst in the education sector, so I am around a lot and can be quite flexible with walk times etc. In my spare time I enjoy writing (currently curating a website of practical resources for autistic adults), D&D, working out, and going for walks anywhere green/beachy.
Reviews
Hamish had his second, successful stay with Lauren. Always good to know your pet is safe and well, with someone he knows and is comfortable with. Lauren also cool, with his little idiosyncrasies and sends photos regularly, which is comforting. Would recommend to any owner.
Lauren N. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Lauren was a great host who looked after Rory brilliantly ? she kept us informed with posts and pictures meaning we could relax on holiday knowing our boy was being well cared for. We will be using Lauren again and I think Rory is missing her a wee bit. Thanks again Lauren
Doris has just come home from her stay with Lauren, and hopefully it won't be her last visit. Doris normally goes to boarding kennels, which she finds extremely stressful, as do I, and takes many days to settle on her return. When I collected Doris from Lauren, I could see immediately that she was much more relaxed, and settled into her routine as soon as she returned home. Lauren kept me informed via text and photos of Doris. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Lauren to care for your pet. I was able to relax and enjoy my time away from Doris knowing that she was well cared for.

I have a top-floor flat but am close to parks for plenty of walks. I live alone, so there is not usually too much chaos. Happy to discuss any specific needs with you and help create an environment that feels comfortable and familiar for your dog.

Information Lauren N. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know any specific behaviours or needs that I should account for with your dog, and I will of course adapt and accommodate. It's helpful for me to know as much as possible beforehand so that I know what to expect. Things like specific behaviours, any commands they are used to, their usual exercise and diet routine, what they enjoy doing most and what helps them calm down if they ever get anxious in a new place. My preference is generally to keep any dog that is new to me on the lead until we're comfortable with each other, so letting me know what your dog is used to and level of recall etc. would be great. Before having any new dog to stay I'll do a meet and greet in a nearby park, so we can all make sure we're a good fit.
A typical day
I work from home full time so would always be there for company and cuddles, and lots of games in between! I'm close to Alexandra Park and Glasgow Necropolis, so we can spend plenty of time exploring those and sniffing out all the interesting bits.

I work from home full time so am available most days, as well as at weekends. My schedule is fairly flexible so I'm happy to adapt walk times to what your dog is used to wherever possible.
