Hi! I'm Lauren. I started my Rover business back in 2014 when I was living in NYC, working from home, but traveling too much to justify getting my own dog. As a GIGANTIC dog lover, it was the perfect way to fill a void of not having a pup around, while also helping others needing this service. It gives me great joy knowing parents feel at ease leaving their beloved pets with me. I continued my business in Oakland and Portland, and even when I finally was able to get my own puppy and it was a fantastic way to socialize her. I had a few regular clients up until the pandemic and I'm thrilled to be starting my business back up now that I'm out of a small apartment and living in what is often described as the ultimate dogs' paradise.... A few years ago, my partner Jeremy and I bought 37 acres out in Sandy, Oregon, and we constantly say we bought it for our pup, Juno. It's not only our dream property, but it's truly any dog's dream as well, with open meadows, ponds and a creek, hiking trails and hills to explore. We have turned part of the property into a campground and one of the things that sets us apart and brings campers back each year is how dog friendly it is. Boarding your dog with us means a lot of exercising, socializing, and spoiling. :) (See gallery for recent photos of the dogs we've hosted on our land to get an idea of the space) Please let us know if your dog does well off-leash in open spaces and around other dogs/people or if you prefer that they stay on-leash while going on hikes. We do have a small private yard by the house as well and can set up a long leash, but love to let them run and explore as much as they can. I always take photos and videos to share with you while you're gone. Jeremy, Juno and I will make sure your pups get plenty of exercise and cuddle time.
