Pet care experience
I am a full-time writer and songwriter; I spend my days at my typewriter and with the written word. A cat owner myself - SAMO is my feline - I am happy to spend time with more animals throughout the day. I have lifelong experience with large dogs, small dogs, horses, bunnies, cats, chickens, and goats. I grew up on a small farm in Tennessee and am no stranger to life with animals. I believe they happen to make the days richer. My feline, SAMO, travels with me on occasion. She is a leash-trained cat who enjoys traveling in the car, by ferry, on the plane, and she particularly enjoyed the trains in Europe. I have just relocated to Tacoma from Berlin and am discovering my new verdant Pacific Northwest surroundings.

Lauren did a wonderful job looking after my cat! She provided great updates and photos each day, and I could tell that my cat was getting spoiled with all the cuddles. I felt reassured that Lauren was taking extra care of her especially during some extra warm temperatures. And Lauren was particularly accommodating when I had a tricky schedule for our first meeting. Would happily recommend!
Lauren had my dog sleepover for two nights. Lauren was so kind and sent sweet updates with pictures. My older aged dog was a happy little camper and spent the weekend helping Lauren write and finish puzzles. I would 100% have my dog stay with Lauren again.
Lauren was great - arrived on time and shared photos of each visit. Oliver seems to have liked her as well :)

I live nearby to Wright Park where I have enjoyed taking my mother’s dog for walks (an Irish Wolfhound/Dalmatian cross). I love walking in Point Defiance as well. And the off-leash dog park can be a lovely moment.
