Hi! I'm Lauren, dog lover (surprise!) and recent graduate home studying for my board exams. Studying from home allows me to have availability and flexibility to be your dog walker and dog sitter. That being said, I am hoping to get some long term walkers and reoccurring stays! I have a home of my own with a fenced in backyard located very close to the Wissahickon trails, which I love walking on. I’m somewhat new to the area -I moved to Philly right before Quarantine back in March and love going on walks and being active to break up my days studying, but what I love more than exploring the Wissahickon trails and walks around my neighborhood by myself are walks with a companion, a dog. Growing up I always had a dog in my life, at one point we had 3 at the same time. All of my dogs have been of different sizes and breeds...a German Short Hair Pointer, a Jack Russell, a Greyhound and my current little guy, Guinness...He's a mini dachshund and unfortunately Guinness doesn't like to walk as much as I do :( Guinness also has epilepsy, which makes me not only experienced in dealing with a dog that has seizures, but also responsible and experienced when it comes to administering medication to dogs. Loving and having dogs of my own is a bonus to my experience when it comes to caring for people's pets. From a young age I have had jobs as a dog walker and pet sitter.. everyday after school since I was 15 I would walk 3 greyhounds. I am reliable, trustworthy, and responsible. I care for all of the animals I watch and care for as if they are my own, because I know that is how I would want someone to care for my dog. In addition to dog walking I have pet sat for numerous friends, family members and people in my community back in NY. When pet sitting I would feed, play with and be sure to spend enough time with the animals if I wasn't spending the night. Now that I am home studying and have a home of my own with a fenced in backyard (woohoo!) I can gladly take care of your dog overnight!
