Well-versed & Ready to Help!
Pet care experience
I’ve watched a wide variety of dogs, cats and other pets since I was 10 for family, friends and neighbors. I have 15 years experience petsitting dogs of different quantities, ages, sizes and personalities. Despite having dogs throughout childhood, I have evolved to love cats just as much! I currently petsit cats, kittens, dogs and puppies from my apartment (one pet or duo at a time!), but my animal care experience extends beyond boarding… I am a volunteer and foster at SAYv Animal Organization and love it. I also have experience in potty training puppies and kittens, as well as both long and short-term care in-home for client’s ease. I currently foster and petsit cats with 5 years of experience petsitting and 1.5 years as a foster. I have previously watched adults, kittens and neonatal kittens of different breeds and tendencies. In addition to daily care that cats require, I have experience bathing, bottle feeding, mush feeding and litter training of singles and multiples. Ultimately, my passion for animals, positive attitude and need for helping others is unmatched. With a well-versed background, I can confidently keep your little one in good hands! 🤍
Reviews
Lauren might be the best, most communicative, and professional rover sitter we've had! She was extremely prepared and attentive to our pup, giving her lots of attention and love throughout the day and giving us lots of updates. Thank you so much Lauren!!
Lauren was excellent to work with, perfect communication and reliable. This was my first River experience and I was a little nervous but after meeting Lauren and how my dog Raiden liked her, I decided to book with her and I’m glad I did! I would recommend her to anyone!
Lauren helped us out for two days when I had to go into the office. She had multiple visits with Scout! Scout seemed to enjoy the extra attention during the day and had lots of fun play time. Thanks Lauren!
Lauren was so amazing with Dash! She took note of all of Dash's quirks and preferences which really put me at ease. Dash had a great day with her and the pics and updates she provided were perfect. It's very clear she loves dogs and cares about providing a safe, comfortable, welcoming environment for them!

Safety, trust & environment
At a client’s home… I am keen to respect space. I am tidy and care for pets according to the owner’s requests and the pet’s boundaries. I understand the importance of pets’ routines and that being without their owner can be emotional. My goal is to best reflect you and your pet’s routine(s) during my services so your pet can feel as comfortable as possible. Trust and safety are my biggest priorities; I understand trusting someone with your pet & home can feel scary. I am happy to work with my clients to assure their security. Whatever the ideal visit may look like for you (sending update photos, etc.), I am happy to discuss the details. When boarding animals… I prepare my home in advance for safety and sanitation (cleaning floors, washing blankets/covering sofa/bedding, etc.). I set up various nap/play spaces throughout and make space for supplies according to what the owner provides. My environment is warm and cozy with plenty of natural sunlight and window views to ensure the animal’s comfort. Although my apartment is technically a studio, it is generous in size and has plenty of floor space and nooks & crannies for pets to make themselves at home. My unit is on a raised first floor, so I have direct outdoor access to the courtyard for quick potty breaks. The elementary school directly across the street from me has a fully fenced playground, which is a great for spacious play after school hours. Noise pollution is relatively low in my area, aside from the occasional children at recess and the opening/closing to the building. Neither have been an issue for previously boarded dogs/cats. If your dog is prone to loud, frequent or constant barking (from noise, being left alone for an occasional errand, etc.) please preface this. If your dog reacts skittishly to noise, I simply establish a walk path that avoids busy streets/loud traffic. * Overall… I value transparency in this process. Honesty is the catalyst for trust and safety between you, your pet and myself. Prefacing details related to barking, biting, potty training is sincerely appreciated! 😺

A typical day
This fully depends on the pet and owner’s needs and preferences. I typically wake up early for our morning routine, then work at my dining table banquette for the rest of the morning with the pet cuddling up beside me, in my lap, or next to me on the sofa. We typically take breaks for walks/play as needed. Our midday routine involves a nice break, where we may have a nap, take a longer walk or play a game of frisbee at the (fenced) elementary school park across the street. I work for the rest of the afternoon alongside the pet and have frequent breaks for fun. Ideally, our evenings involve some activity, such as a movie night in, a trip to the park/beach, or taking extra time for a long walk.

Availability
I’m currently looking for a new job, so I am ready with full availability to “pencil in” your pet in the meantime! Aside from the occasional interview, errand, yoga session or occasional social evening, I am at home and can be there for whatever support your pet needs. I am also accepting boarding opportunities; I prefer drop-offs before 9AM or after 5PM on weekdays if possible.
