Pet care experience
My name is Lauren and my husband is Andy! We love dogs. I’ve been a pet sitter for many years for repeat clients, and have always enjoyed it because dogs bring me joy. Having chronic illness makes it hard to work and so being able to take care of dogs blesses me big time. I'm very flexible, personable, punctual, and great with animals. I'm at ease which naturally puts the dogs at ease. I communicate thoroughly and effectively, and want to help in all the ways that I can. I have many references from long-time clients and can share them with you if you'd like. I look forward to hearing from you and spending time with your sweet pup! A little more about me: My husband, Andy, and I recently moved back here from Colorado. I enjoy painting, writing, cooking, kayaking, and dogs obviously :) I'm currently working part-time from home so your pet will get lots of attention from me! I will typically be home, and if not, my husband works from home too. He loves playing with dogs. We do not have any pets. We stay with the dogs in their home where they’re most comfortable. We keep the dogs on leash and love to be with the dogs throughout the day.

I met with Lauren and Andy before we officially booked them, to make sure they would be a good fit for us and our fur babies. My husband and I felt comfortable after chatting with them, so we booked them for a week while we went to the east coast for vacation. While we were away, we got very little communication. I had to reach out daily to ask how things were going. Then, because Lauren had another gig, Lauren left and Andy was going to stay with our babies. Until I got a phone call while in NYC saying he’d like to be with her because she’s too ill to be alone. I’m an understanding person, but I paid for a service, and for peace of mind that my pets were safe and well cared for. I had to scramble from 2,000 miles away, in the middle of New York City, to find a neighbor who would take my dog. Then, I told Andy I found someone to take my dog, and he could go. He said he’d come back the next day at 6:00 am to walk my dog, and I said no that’s fine he will still be with my neighbor. Fast forward to the next day, he’s walking back into my house at 5:50 am. My dog isn’t there, he didn’t text me and ask to enter my house. My home isn’t a hotel. This felt incredibly inappropriate. I won’t be using them again.
Lauren and Andy were great! This was our first Rover experience so I was pretty nervous, but Lauren really put me at ease. We spoke on the phone prior to meeting to work out some details, and then Lauren and Andy came to our home to meet Indy before we left! They were super sweet, thoughtful about our home and most importantly took the best care of Indy! Would definitely recommend for first time Rover people. We will definitely request them again!
Lauren was great. Prompt, very communicative, no issues. Would book again.
Lauren watch our house and pets while we were out of town. We couldn’t be happier! She took great care of the animals and our house. I would definitely recommend Lauren for your next getaway!

We go to parks, dog parks, on walks, play fetch, and whatever else the dog likes to do! I love to snuggle with dogs too so if they like that they will get lots of snuggles. :)
