When I was about 10, my mom signed me up for my first pet sitting gig: a pair of guinea pigs whose family was headed on vacation. Though my mother succeeded in curing me of my desire to have my own guinea pig, I was hooked on this pet sitting thing. In the years that followed, through middle school, high school, and college, I provided sitting services for a variety of different dog breeds, from Chihuahuas to German Shepherds as well as house cats. On several occasions I've administered multiple medications (ranging from seizure prevention to daily vitamins) to several dogs in a household and feel comfortable preparing and giving medications.
