Pet care experience
I've had both dogs and cats my whole life, but I rescued my first dog when I was 9. He was a little toy rat terrier I found outside eating trash after his "owners" moved away and left him behind. After enticing him inside with a piece of ham was when my passion for animal rescue and care began. My life goal is still to one day work in animal welfare! I worked at Pet Supplies Plus previously and volunteered at Orphan Angels, a non-profit cat sanctuary in my hometown, as well as shadowed a few vet tech classes. I've also owned many small animals such as rodents (rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters) and reptiles (snakes, turtles, lizards) so I consider myself more than capable of caring for any exotics and/or pocket pets! I was a pet sitter for two years back in Erie PA, and now that I've moved I'm hoping to start back up here!

Lauren is the best dog sitter ever! She took great care of our 2 dogs when we went on a 7 day trip in Europe, she kept us updated with photos of what the dogs were doing the entire trip. We highly recommend her.
Lauren stayed in our home with our three energetic dogs for 4 days/nights. Our pups warmed up to her quickly and she sent a ton of photos and updates. She took great care of them and we would be happy to hire her again. Thanks again Lauren!
Lauren is great, super friendly - she knew exactly how to handle our reactive dog, and she handled sitting with our 2 dogs like a pro. We would trust her with our dogs anytime. Highly recommend her.

Playtime is a must! However, if you have older or more laid back pets, chillin on the couch giving them pets is cool too! Walks will be included in any house/drop in visits, as well as following any feeding/potty break schedule given. I'm totally open to any special accommodations or needs your pet may have as well as updates and pictures throughout the day!

As someone who has owned reactive dogs in the past, knowing any tells or triggers a dog has beforehand is important. I'm familiar with the signs and body language, but it helps to know what exactly I'm looking out for and what to avoid! I.e. if they are wary towards strangers or other dogs, loud noises, busy roads etc. And of course any details regarding a medical condition/special needs are important as well.
A typical day
I like to keep things as close to their normal routine as possible, as they'll already be stressed with you away. So whatever a normal day looks like for them, let me know how I can replicate that!

Availability
Right now, Rover is my only job, so my main focus is taking care of your pet! I am in the Navy Reserves, so one weekend out of the month I will be drilling from 7am-5pm. If your stay happens to fall on a drill weekend I will let you know so we can plan accordingly, but otherwise your pet is my full-time commitment!
