Pet care experience
I have been a dog sitter on Rover for over two years. As a current pet owner, my care goes beyond the basics of feeding and walking. I have taken care of animals since the age of 6, where I was an avid member of 4-H taking care of ducks, cows, sheep, and my own dog. The tedious care that it takes to raise successful and healthy livestock certainly has impacted the way I take care of my own pets and those that I watch. Along with walks and feeding, mental engagement and socialization has always been a priority for me. Your pet(s) are not only in educated hands, but in a trustworthy individual who has a high reputation for taking care of personal, family, and friends pets.

I’m a little hesitant to leave a glowing review of Lauren, because I don’t want her to be fully booked for when we need her ? BUT, Lauren is just wonderful. She is very responsive to our communications and our requests, providing pictures of our beloved Lilo along with detailed updates about their day together while we are gone. Lilo (husky) is very energetic, and Lauren was willing to take her for as many walks as the weather would allow. There is a peace of mind that comes with knowing your pet is in good hands (especially in their own home) while you are away, and Lauren gave us that and more. Any pet owner would be lucky to have a pet sitter as good as Lauren!
Lauren is amazing. We got daily updates along with a summary of the day and several pictures of our pups. She went above and beyond taking care of the house. Best dog sitter we’ve ever had and the pups absolutely loved her.
Lauren was the perfect dog sitter while we were away. She communicated, sent photos, and was willing to water plants for us too! When we got home, it was clean and she left little gifts for our dog!
Lauren was fantastic with our Golden Retriever. Chancelor wanted to leave with her. Will use Lauren again!!

In your own home, I will make sure your pet doesn’t miss a beat! If you wish for me to care for your pet in your own home, it will be cared for as if it’s my own. Your pet will be happy for your return, but will probably be even happier if they see me come back! Following your pets routine is a valuable way to ensure their comfort. Routines are important to me and something that will be followed closely if provided. Although I live in an apartment, daily walks and trips to the park are a regular part of my routine with my own pet.

A typical day

I love taking my dog on walks in the city, and in more quiet suburbs where I live. There are several parks in the area that I love to visit with pets that I watch! Along with this, interactive and engaging play is a priority for me. Whether it’s tug-of-war or fetch, fun activities are always a must!

I work from home which allows me a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I am available most days, and most hours, making it convenient for you! Weekends are also available with home stays provided.
