Pet care experience
Hello there, I have been working with pets from a young age ranging from birds and reptiles to dogs, cats, and horses. I am currently in graduate school, but many moons ago I was a veterinary technician. So if your pet requires extra attention, medications, injections, and even post-operative care, I have your back! My previous fur-baby of 12 years that crossed the rainbow bridge had Cushing's, so I have a soft spot for senior pets. My current pup has completed introductory obedience training and I will not shy away from spending some quality hours practicing some helpful skills with your pup such as: *Sit *Stay *Door Manners *Place/Go bed *Down *Bark aversion *Leash Walking Manners
Reviews
Lauren did a wonderful job with our dog! She kept us updated and sent pics each day while we were gone. Would definitely recommend her!
Lauren M. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.
As always, a great stay with Lauren! I had no worries at all about the multiple medications my Abby required. Lauren is the best!
Lauren was great with our two senior girls! She handled our nervous/anxious cocker spaniel like a pro and treated our arthritic cocker mix just as expertly. We loved seeing the pictures of them while we were gone. Thank you! We will definitely book again!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is always first, as a previous veterinary technician I know that it is not just a buzz word. If anything goes awry you can count on me to reach out immedicably to contact you, even if it is a small cut or scrape, you will not come back to a surprise injury. I will always ask for your personal vet's contact information just in case, to ensure that in the event of a medical issue your baby will be cared for properly. Additionally I will confirm your preference for an urgent care if the need arises (though hopefully not). When walks are done we always wear reflective gear and well-fitted gear (collars, harnesses).

Information Lauren M. would like to know about your pet
What is your pet's normal routine? Any medication (amount, time given, etc.)? Any behavioral things of note (food aggression, kid/other pet cat/dog intolerance, etc.)? What are behaviors (specific to your pet) to watch for that could indicate something is wrong? Foods/treats preferences? (strict no people food policy in our house) What would you like us to work on (if anything) over the stay?
A typical day
Daily walks (1-3 miles) around the neighborhood depending on the weather and pup's ability and desire to walk, I understand tired pups. We can run or walk based on preference. These are done first thing in the morning at 5:30-6:00 am to reduce anxiety and make best use of the cooler hours and see the sunrise together. I prefer not to bring out to trails or dog parks to avoid potential injury or illness but if you have a routine with your pup I will always try my best to accommodate. Other walks in the day are shorter and are about 10-15 mins in duration to check out the local water features near my residence. Otherwise we will enjoy indoor playtime and some well-deserved couch potato time.

Availability
Again, I am in grad school so I have hours where I will be at home and available to provide care and individualized attention to your pet. Weekends are generally open, I will have 1 rotating weekend when I will be out of town and unavailable, but most of the time we are home!
